After producing 18 projects for the Cathedrals I'm convinced there never was, is not now and will never be another quartet as great as these guys. Every minute I spent with them was heartwarming and inspiring. They will always have a place in my heart and I cherish every moment we shared together. Lari Goss

+Larry Goss This particular 4some is my favorite Cathedral line-up, and although I've known Gerald since his Dumplin Valley days, I'd give those guys & Roger the nod as the best. For you to call the Catherdrals the best is good enough for me.

If you take away the powerful ending with Danny "sky-ing" then this is still one of the best renditions of this song ever. BUT when you add the ending with Danny then you have an absolutely powerful song sung by one of the best singers to ever live and ended by the best tenor to ever sing. It is truly amazing!

true true true. Emotions is what dragged this country down, in the bigger scale. Emotions are a powerful and dangerous thing. Emotions alone nearly most of the time mean destruction. Emotions with something else, like, say, backed up by intellectual and mind-made decisions, then yes, i'd agree with them:)

If you think any of these tenors use falsetto, then you do not know what head voice sounds like. They only use falsetto as an accent in their arsenal of skills; none of the tenors from any of these popular groups (Legacy Five, Cathedrals, Gold City, and many of the others) use falsetto as his main technique to hit high notes.

I first heard the Cathedrals when I was in high school. They immediately became my favorite group, and I sang to their songs all the time. When I say all the time, my step-mom could attest, I mean all the time. I have never stopped listening to them. I enlisted in the Army a few years later and was sent to Germany. Being overseas in the early to late 90's it was a little hard to come by Christian music. So I vowed to go see all of my favorite groups, which now included Point of Grace, when I got home. I was watching a Gaither program one evening and they had Glen and George on. I was so happy and my now wife of 6yrs was happy for me. Then after the song, there was writing that showed they had both passed away. I totally lost it, I burst into tears and my wife didn't know what was going on. A long story to say this, be grateful for everyone in your life. Enjoy every second they are with you, and remember the good times. I have lost many family members since then and my wife of 27+ years now has also. I look forward to the day we get to see them again. I also look forward to singing with Glen and George in heaven.

@tmua23 I'll try again. The word "worship" means to ascribe worth. This song does that in a form of testimony. That it is musical in well within the Biblical tradition. That it is well done shows hard work. That it lifts the worshipper's burdens, sight, and emotions is what worship should do!

I know that you are just having fun but that's sort of a low-blow. I am proud of my Baptist heritage. And though I agree that we shouldn't be so worried about really expressing our feelings toward God and His mighty love and power we also have to be on guard that we don't pay the reverence due to an almighty God by keeping His House a place of worship and not just a building full of emotions.

I have to disagree with you. Worship is not an emotion. It is a folly of this generation and the last in making us believe that there must be some sort of outward emotional response in worship. If we are going to be very literal, this is called praise whereas preaching would be worship. I think that there are too many emotional responses in this world and not nearly enough spiritual responses to the Word of God. You would have to agree with me there.
