Catfishing a Small Desert Canal Spillway! (Arizona Fishing)
We did some long overdue catfishing in the deserts of Arizona! I know you all have been craving some catfish action so rest assured we will be targeting them more often. We found this awesome looking desert canal spillway that was holding some channel catfish.
We started at the desert river first, which we were then kicked out of. We made some adjustments are were able to catch some fish on chicken liver. The catfishing here in the desert is usually pretty consistent, so if you have a canal or pond near you, you should try it out.
Canal catfishing will be on the list for the future mainly because Arizona catfishing is heating up. Arizona canal fishing in the desert can be tons of fun especially when you find places like this! An inverted canal spillway made the spot aesthetically pleasing to say the least.

Walk your bait down with the current, no weight my fellow Arizona brother from another mother. Native born Arizona guy here, been fishing the canals and man made ponds and lakes my whole life. Under the bridges especially.
Man you got alot of places to fish. That canal fishing looks fun and them spillways hold alot of fish.

Great catfish action. Please don't get in trouble to take us fishing. Maybe the department of fish and game has a website you can check out. Wear you can fish on the canals. You might even find some places you don't even know. Be blessed my friend.

Hey ! That first spot was originally fishable they changed the rules on me lol. I can park and walk tho so maybe next time I’ll do that
A trick for liver is to buy some cheap panty hose and make pouches. Knot, add liver, knot, and cut. Hook pouch to hook. Holds it well and allows scent and color to permeate. Works super well when temps heat up and liver seems to melt off the hook.

I have seen that but I prefer the t elastic thread. I just like the natural presentation it has. Pantyhose works great tho!

I use this exclusively now. Liver and catfish bait stays on much longer than any thread. Hooked many monsters this way and it saves $ in the long run.

Where I was the no trespassing signs didn’t started until a dirt road far ahead, nothing said I couldn’t fish there right by the road 🤷🏽♂️

That purple pipe is dumping reclaimed wastewater so unless their process includes micro filtration and disinfection it might not be the place to get your dinner!🤔

@@TheFishinMagician20 I was in the water reclamation business for 32 years and that color paint is the internationally recognized reclaimed water color, but there are stages of reclaimed water. Ours was reclaimed to deionized levels and the electrolytes were added back into it to prevent sink holes.

I got out on to ur videos by a couple of my friends and we also live in Arizona down in casa grande and we both 22 and his older brother is 24 but what do u think about fishing with us andante u can come down here and we can show u our special canals where we pull in 7 pound channel cats and the smallest we’ve gotten was a 4.5 pounder with also 2, 2.5 pounder strippers I’ve gotten out of there and a 3+ pound small mouth! It would be so crazy and cool if I could set this up with u and my 2 friends who put me on to ur videos💪🏼❤️❤️ to surprise them we fishing with the one and only FISHINMAGICIAN2.0!!!!!!!!
