Thanks for sharing this. I grew up part of my life in Columbus,Mississippi as child back in the 60's. Some of my earliest fishing memories are fishing the Tombigbee and Buttahatchee rivers as well as Grenada Lake. You brought back a lot of childhood memories for me, thank you. By the way, I still love my fishing at 63 years old and spend a lot of my time fishing for Smallmouth Bass and trout in east Tennessee.

I love all your videos. This jugging video brought back some great memories of me & my dad when he was still with us. We loved limbing, trotting, & jugging here in Mobile Alabama on the Mobile River... Now my dad is gone so I'm showing my 13 yr old daughter this way of fishing. SHE LOVES IT & ANYTHING INVOLVING OUR BOAT & A RIVER!!! IT'S ALL ABOUT GOD, FAITH & FAMILY TO ME & TRYING TO BE HALF THE DAD MY DAD WAS!!! GOD BLESS & MUCH LOVE FROM MOBILE ALABAMA.

Get a 5 or 6 ft threaded handle and a Paint roller handle, strip of the extra hardware so you only have the shaft left, . Use that like a gaff to catch the drop lines under your floats. so there is no need to reach over the side and grab them by hand. Enjoyed that Video!

I saw the ones in Walmart that work the same way so I decided I wasn't going to pay Wally World for something I can make. Mine are different than yours somewhat but it is very close also. I used a pretty good chunk of lead to make mine and they work perfectly just as yours do. I'm glad to see another person can do what I do for fun. LOL I live close to Waco, Texas but I used to live in Clarksdale and Tutwiler, Mississippi. I worked for 12 years at Parchman.

They work really good . Use them all the time . I use 125 lb. Test nylon line for the main line with no5 o hooks . Use swivels on both ends of the line . That way it makes it harder for the fish to get twisted up and get off .

Great vid Thanks I hadn't realized there was apiece of metal inside, that makes a perfect bobber. I had seen a similar type of fishing but they just used 20oz pop bottles with the line tied at the cap, but your way works much better. You caught some nice catfish but I didn't see any like we have up here in Connecticut which we call bullhead or mud pout. Our DEEP started stocking Channel Catfish some time ago in certain rivers and ponds/lakes but I haven't caught 1 of those yet. Thanks again and I do like seeing your time off activities so post away Tim I enjoy them.

Looks very close to mine, but I've tweaked it a little bit. I silence my metal slides with foam pieces on each end because I've seen fish get spooked by it. I use tarred twine instead of mono. I use monster noodles & glue them in place with expanding foam. I also only use forged hooks. Looks like you may have the eagle claw circle hook. They hook very well, but blue cats will straighten them. Perfect for only channels, though.

Like the design seen some . I use the pex - blue or red it saves a little money and about 14 " of bright color noodle but if red or blue then white duck tap band to see them easy at night. I have a snap swivel on each end and in the middle with only an inch outta each end & the pool noodles gorilla glued to the pex almost always using the center snap swivel because it's harder to be submerged. 50 lovers can't hold it down long . I do t cap the ends . Hope you can picture that & try a few . Have a Blessed Day Sir 🕊 💜 🙏

Just wanted to say you'd catch more if you Put you weight on the very bottom of the line and tied on more than one swivel and hook. Means a little more bait but puts the bait in two different zones and catches more fish than the single hook set up. Plus it keeps the hook from snagging stuff on the very bottom. Try it and see if it doesn't increase your catch rate.
