That's a Truck I will love to have, and swapped to a Diesel, .....Oh man..... Absolutely Awesome!!!! Fantastic project, and What a perfect choice of power train to add to it's total beauty..... That truck is gonna be transformed to a Monster Truck!!!!! I want it..... Great job Paul!!!!!

The 3126 was available in mechanical. And to be exact thats actually a perkins engine

I was unaware of both points... In the reading that I did, I was under the impression that the 3126 was the same engine just electronically controlled and as far as it being a perkins I am unfamiliar with that info.. My diesel knowledge is extremely limited. Always willing to learn something new. 👍 I appreciate your comment thank you. 🤙

Agree 100%... Plus I found a killer deal on this particular engine and transmission which kinda helped in making my decision. So glad with the way things are going..but it definitely hasn't been without challenges.. Thanks for subscribing too👍.. This year hasn't exactly gone the way I planned but I am going to continue making videos very soon...the truck has been idle since my last video I posted.

@@ChallengeTheBuild There are some differences between the 3116 and the 3126. The 3116 has a 4.13-inch bore, and the 3126 has a 4.3-inch bore. Both engines had a 5-inch stroke. Toward the end of the production run of the 3116 there were some that had electronic injection, but the large majority of them were mechanical unit injectors similar to the old Detroit two stroke diesels. All of the 3126 engines used the electronic injectors and had an ECU and a high-pressure oil pump. Of the two, I actually prefer the 3116 because it is all mechanical and more simple and fool proof. I have a 3116 in my generator set, and it is very reliable and economical to run.

Heui is not mechanical. its a Hydraulic electronic unit injection system. Its the better side of the 3116. The fuelsystem of the mechanical 3116 is a nightmare to service if u dont have the right tools and even if u have it takes some time.

I appreciate your comment Sven, I definitely have very little knowledge in and around the world of diesel. The main reason I bought this motor & trans was mainly because of the price. I knew zero about it, and making it fit? well that is a entirely different story which you can kinda watch in my videos.. Thanks again for the comment 👍.
