I was just about to say 'she did that!' I've been dealing with thyroid related alopecia recently, not to the point that I have to cover it up, but to the point I definetly have to protect my hair more than usual, even with girls with thick hair you take it for granted! So I've been following stylists who specialize in clients with alopecia and have mad props for of all them. Even though I think she snatched my edges with these slays but that's okay lmao

I think she restores so much confidence to these women

Kay Bae if i get another client who is comfortable with me posting the tutorial i definitely will boo! I will say one thing, if you are uncomfortable with doing a service DO NOT DO IT! Even if you DO know how to do a service and you just feel uncomfortable, don’t do it! There are styles that i do not know how to service and honestly feel comfortable doing it rather than styles i do know how to service and vice versa! But when i get another client who is comfortable with me posting a tutorial with her, i sure will post it for you! Thanks so much boo

Keza Yeboah thanks boo and that’s the issue with people (in GENERAL) there are more issues causing hair loss than just TENSION with styles, such as medical and genetic issues; the little bushes of their hair were not braided or applied with tension; those were slid under the braids; everything else was braided, with no heavy tension to cause FURTHER damage to the hair.

Ok thank you for replying. The outcome is awesome. I watched another video of a lady missing most of her edges and she said that her current stylist braids her hair but it's actually growing. She said before meeting this stylist she had less edges. So these things are interesting to learn. And you are welcome. I would never be disrespectful.

Kimberly Akins yeah, it truly all depends on the current circumstances as to exactly WHY or HOW hair loss generated; on my end, it’s more genetics and medical, but there are so many other reasons as to why these things happen, so two of these clients come back in June for their second service, and i will definitely know how their service went completely, I’ve talked to them throughout their first service and they enjoyed every moment of being able to wear their braids

I’m a braider. Have been for many years & I can honestly say, she did not attach the braids to the thinned out spots, the braids are simply lying over them. When she said at the beginning of the video about the client being the biggest helper, she meant they hold it in place while she braids it to the other end to attach so that it doesn’t pull on the hair that is healthy enough to braid. Clients with alopecia have a genetic cause of hair loss & rather you braid it or not, it’s still going to come out. Same with Medication you take, especially those who take high blood pressure medications. As a stylist it’s always best to do a consultation & explain problem areas, but some customers simply don’t care. Mainly because they want to look beautiful & not feel self conscious about their hair all the time. Every woman deserves to feel beautiful, you did an awesome job!

Beautiful!!! I have alopecia areata (genetics) and I am almost totally bald except patches around the back and sides that I just shave off because there is no need to have them if 80% of my head if bald. I no longer have any hair to braid, so braided wigs are my only option. THANK YOU for providing your blessings and talents with the world! Even though my ship has long sailed I'm so happy for the beautiful women who you service. Bless you and thank you for not allowing any negativity on your page. It is VERY difficult to deal with baldness (for whatever reason) and by me being TOTALLY bald, wigs and head wraps are my only option. Thank you again!!! New subbie here just so I can support the work you do for these women! Blessings!

As a hairdresser and barber. ..awesome you can work your magic so well. I had to wear a clip in hair for over a year till my hair grew out from a bad bleach job done by another stylist. Took me 6 years to get my hair back to the length before it was fryed.

My mind is blown! This is talent at its finest.

Adrian Plunkett hey boo, are you referring to the little specs of hair that are on her hairline? I didn’t braid any of that, i just slid it under the Braid and kept it moving boo; yes, you don’t want to cause anymore damage to the hair whatsoever, so you have to be extremely careful WHERE to place braids, HOW to place braids, and make sure the hair itself is strong enough to be braided prior to servicing

You are amazing. I was diagnosed with Alopecia Areata (genetic autoimmune disorder). I have thinning hair around the edges and a little bit of thinning in the front. I HATED my hair and was always teased throughout school. I can never wear my hair in an up do. My hair is 4C and I always have to wear headbands to cover my edges, and I can't stand it. I look at other women and think "OMG, she's so lucky to not have to worry about people judging and laughing at her because of her edges. Thank you for what you are doing and thank you for being understanding and compassionate.

Wow gurl!!! Do you actually braid the wispies or do you like slick it under the braid? I'm asking as if I braid my wispies they tend to break off. My hairs thinning due to having my thyroid removed.

Naynaynashire i do not braids any of the wispies boo (if you are saying do i Braid like the tiny little specs of hair) noooooo absolutely not, i slick them things under the braid and keep it moving lol;
