I love how open and honest they are with Nova. You can tell it helps her developmentally, she asks questions most kids her age don’t think about. Her thought process is just amazing for her age.

Novalee’s thought process is incredible for someone born in 2015. I could tell Catelynn was getting a teeny tiny bit emotional. I respect the hell out of Catelynn & Tyler admitting they didn’t make smart decisions by getting pregnant as teens. I like how Novalee’s understanding.

Yeah, I completely agree. They had a real and honest conversation with Nova, but also simplified for her 6 year old mind, so that she was able to understand and comprehend it. You could see her cute little brain putting the puzzle pieces together, and it was so intriguing to watch. She’s so articulate and smart!

I have a strong feeling that when Carly is about 15-16 she will be the one to start requesting more interactions with her baby sisters, and her bio-parents. She will want a taste of a different experience as well, which does not hurt at all. I hope they all get to be reunited soon.

I can see the pain in Caitlyns face. This is a woman living with regret. I know she is praying for Carley to reach 18 and reach out on her own. I pray God gives her another chance with her daughter.

I feel like as kids attempting this on their own, because I know they faced a lot of push back from the "adults" in their lives, they did the best the could with the situation they were in. But I know B&T are probably pushing the semi open part to being dang near closed. They should have had better guidance on that end of things. They've done amazing for themselves and I'm so happy for them.

I can’t lie, I teared up when Nova was explaining the adoption in her words. She’s such a smart little girl and I love how well they’ve all done 💖

It's crazy too that in only 6 more years things could really change in a good or bad way. She will be 18 and can decide for herself what kind of relationship she wants to have with her bio family

@@SationalCyn I was thinking the same thing! She could end up reaching out and reuniting with them, which would be awesome. It seems like in the healthiest situations, the adoptive parents support children when they express a desire to meet their bio families. Hopefully Carly's parents do that!

Okay. That was the purest, sweetest, most innocent and yet mature and accurate way for Nova to describe what she understood about the adoption. I will be honest I have always thought Noah was a little bit of a brat LOL but she stole my heart in this one clip

Their parenting style is amazing. Last episode when she allowed her the safe space to say the appropriate word for the body part was so important! Good job you guys!

1.Carly has a stable consistent family of her own, which is something Catelyn and Tyler have failed to provide for their children. 2. Do not idolise theese birthday funerals for Carly. Dawn has said multiple times they don't send Carly birthday cards or gifts. They're commemorating their grief not Carly. 3.The best place for Carly is far away from her birth parents and there neurosis, it's contagious.

As someone desperately struggling with infertility it made me choke up to hear Nova explain it all in her words. So sweet. God bless y’all ❤️

Know that adoption is not a family building tool-nobody should be building a family off of another family in a crisis. Also keep in mind that nobody is entitled to somebody else’s child -signed an infant adoptee

The love Ty and Catelyn had for Carly and will always have is so evident. They were only teens but demonstrated the greatest form of love, they weren’t selfish . Tyler’s reaction at 00:25 shows it

Wow, she is def Ty’s daughter. Just like his carbon copy. Hands down the best parents on this show. The realest with their struggles as individuals and a couple down to mental health and family problems. I’m so happy their both happy

I love how they have videos to show Carly when she is 18 how much they love her. On 16 & Pregnant, it was so hard for them to give her up for adoption. God has blessed them with 3 more daughters. I hope they can see Carly soon!

This was an amazing conversation. Ive watched these two struggle over the years with the adaption and now there able to explain it to Nova and feel good about it. I’m very proud of them. I wish MTV would show more of this because these are moments that define the growth in the teen parents.
