There's a suggestions channel in the discord. This is still an EA game made by a single person. She's doing amazingly and has a rough roadmap but is STILL taking suggestions and adding things in that make sense. (We didn't used to get to see their exact coat, for example. And training arenas were, i think, added at request). Also, just a few tips: if you put them in the pasture, adult horses (mare and stallion) lose potential points, but since you're not stat driven atm i think that's fine for you. They will be full satiation. They will only have 75% energy, and all you will have to do is brush them. If you do actually brush them every day and have the soft or hard brush instead of just the old one you start with, it takes seconds. Lupine meadow has Splash as it's exclusive pattern. Pine Forest is the only place you'll get cream coats (palomino, cremello, perlino, etc) but you can get "dun" modifier in the auction. Crystal Lake is where you'll find Sabino coats, and Rocky Mountain is the only place to get dapples. Tobiano, Overo, and appaloosa can be found in auction or wilds either one (Appaloosa is only legendary horses, though) and unless you have the same on story mode instead of normal difficulty, you won't unlock that until you've done all the Advanced Race quests. With your approach to this game so far, I'd definitely recommend story mode.

I do really prefer the “coral wild horses and give em a pat to befriend them” over the “sit on it until it gives in to your love”?? Like I feel so mean sitting on wild horses that are trying to buck you off in games 😭 there’s other, better ways of doing this pls game developers.

100% agree. I never liked the idea of “breaking” :( I always wanted a game where the taming was more about gaining trust.

@@mish3560right! And The idea of “breaking” a horse is considered outdated by a lot of horse people irl and rightfully so. In games dedicated to horses and bonding with them, why would “breaking” them even be a feature? 😭

I do kinda want an extra step between "pat pat hello" and "riding across the countryside with a heavy western saddle and a bitted bridle" though. Like, we have babies born in a week, so I'm not asking for a realistic timeline, but maybe a day of bonding, or you have to get the trust level to, say, 5 (since the whistle starts working at 10%) before you can ride off-ranch with them.

The only type of breaking you should be doing is saddle breaking once they trust you and you do it gently and gain their trust where they don't feel like they need to throw you off it's all about trust

Awesome to see you playing this game!! A few tips: 1: When you put an adult horse into the Pasture, make sure they are at 100% care and satiety BEFORE you do so - this will ensure they stay at full health even if you leave them there for several days. Brush them if you have time to bring the Care back up to 100% each day. 2: You can press Alt to switch between WASD control and Mouse control while riding a horse - I find Mouse control far, far easier for riding unless I am specifically training Flexibility. 3: Once you have a wild horse running towards a corral, ride at a trot or canter for an easier control of going in the right direction. 4: Training up horses to use up their potential and then racing them in each race, and getting their trust up before selling them will make them sell for significantly more - this is a really good way to get a fair bit of money to unlock better corrals which will give you better stat wild horses to start with. 5: You can train horses faster in specific stats at each of the trails once you unlock that - for example there is a race track at Lupine Meadow that will allow you to increase Speed much faster, especially if you boost with the right grain. I hope you find the time to slow down how you play this game a bit - it all felt very hectic and I really feel you aren't getting the full potential of this game by playing it like this. It does have a bit of a steep learning curve and stuff isn't explained all that well within the game yet, but there are guides online and the discord is really helpful with advice if you get stuck on things.
