Well, of all Skaven, the Warlock should probably be the most mad and filled with gadgets of questionable stability. But maybe this one is still alive because he does have some sense to him

I can sympathise, I'm suffering with sever toothache which is running up the side of my face making it all swollen. Plus my mental health is taking a dive due to how negative everyone at home is being atm... I think my fave detail for the warlock engineer is the poor rat being turned into a silencer on the rifle.

I've been very critical of GW the past decade, but that's one of the best Dwarf models I've ever seen. Gorgeous. Now just stick it on a proper WHFB square base like it belongs!

the new Warlock Enginseer will be an even better base for a Dark Mechanicus conversion . . . primarily because its plastic.

the skaven is, like the clan rats, a technically good model with none of the skaven personality of the previous edition. a Skaven, ESPECIALLY a warlock engineer, should have at least some vibes of the saturday morning cartoon mad scientist to it. This guy looks like... ok if you removed the "Rat" part, toned down the Skaven Accoutrements, skimmed away the surface aesthetics of Skaven, Untattered his robes, unchipped his armour. This guy wouldn't look out of place in a Cities Of Sigmar army. His demeanor is without Squeak. This guy looks like he'd turn down warpstone in favour of a nice kale smoothie. I'm not a mad scientist, I'm a disappointed scientist. But I don't think he's a mad scientist either... It is basically the 3rd ed 40k-ification of the Orks all over again, only with a much better class of sculpt.

The Skaven bloke looks too "cool" to me. It feels a little too sane.

Disappointed with Grombrindal, he looks neither insanely angry or angrily insane as in Total Warhammer.
