Please do a video showing your method of catching epic or rare fish when the bait isn’t available on the fish screen. How do you target those fish and select the bait that will catch them?

I've been playing for a few months now and I switch back between South Korea and the US West. I was looking for videos on how to catch a bullhead shark when I stumbled across this video. Even though I was still in South korea, I switched over to float fishing and to the grasshopper. As soon as I did that I caught a shark. That was crazy, unfortunately it wasn't the bullhead. So I switched over to 20 on the US West map and within an hour I caught my first great white shark. That thing was massive. Thank you for sharing these tips.

Wow. That’s crazy how you guys pull out sharks left and right. I’m at max level and I’m hunting for epics! I’ve only caught one shark and that was a tiger shark, I didn’t even no it was possible at the time and up until I watched this video I thought it was all luck. But now I guess there is skill and teqniqe involved. Cant wait to keep progressing and learning from your vids!

I switch between expert and hard depending on what I am trying to accomplish. When just finishing for fun, I fish expert. I wish line color wouldn't auto turn on after a reset.

Love your videos, they've been super helpful. I thought I finally finished the South Korean fish using some of your methods, but I ended up only 74/75. I think I'll try and finish US West before I try and figure that out.

Do you have any shadows in your fish section on the board in the lodge? Might be a bug.

For Mako I have found location 17 on South Korea is probably the best location overall. When I was trying to get my 15 for my trophy I did a lot of fishing on South Korea 20 just because I like that location better.

@@ericilkwatson5557 back then I used spinner on expert because it is what the small fish like however now I would do the fish buffet method and just target a small green fish over and over.

I am not only new to fishing, but started this wonderful VR Fishing game to learn a lot. Wow! - what an Informative Training Video... Thank You so Much! Since it seems like other angler videos talk about watching for the medium size fish near the shark.. to catch them.... My question now is... Do you use BAIT(s) to catch Medium Fish first to CATCH the Shark that Eats them or the Bait A to catch the Shark Directly ?? Thanks again for your valueful time. Good Luck yourself

I use bait to catch the medium size fish then release them after they swim twice if the shark doesn't attack it. Then I catch the same fish again.

As you progress you unlock better gear. you can purchase Rod A and Reel A in the store either at the lodge or the mini store in your popup menu.

No you can play on Normal, I just like the fish finder on Hard, and expert for Epic fish.

This is great! I'm new and you said you have video on how to quick retrieve if you don't havethe fish you like but I haven't found it. Can you link the video or just give the key tip? I'm wasting time reeling things in so I don't lose bobbers. (Only a few weeks on the VR fishing so new still.) Would appreciate-

A lot of my videos show quick retrieve. You just pull back on your thumbstic. I believe my fly-fishing for epics video was one of my first I go over that technique on.

Found the answer in another video! And with your tutorials- I've caught 6 sharks today. Still need a great white but caught about 20 of the bass just no shark showed up... yet. (But they will!) thanks again for the video, content and Spreadsheets.

Still hunting for a Great White I only seem to catch 6 gill and Tigers

I know right, 6 Gill is the carp of sharks. So many of them.

How did you get a staircase? Does it allow you to go upstairs and look down into the tank?

It was a staircase that went from lodge A to lodge B, recently removed from the last update.

How do change the setting i dont like seeing the fish in water i just started can i disable it?and remove the guide so it will look and feel more realistic?

Switch to hard and you will get a fish finder and expert will be like hard without the fish finder.

After you catch a shark, does the fish it "ate" disappear from the map, or will it be back in the water where it came from? If the latter, then I guess you never need reset your map at all once you have a prey fish in a spot you like.

Based on Doc's fish finder at 22:30 after he lands his shark, it looks like the fish that was eaten is gone from the map, so the map needs to be reset after the shark is landed if no "good" prey fish is out there.

My last question is: if you "lose" a shark while fighting it, is that same shark still out there on your map? Meaning, if you keep fishing, that's the next shark you will catch. Or, is that shark gone and the next shark will be a different random shark. My preliminary data collection indicates the former - if you keep fishing without resetting the map, the next shark you catch will be the one that you just lost. However, I'm not positive about this.

Only Tiger and Mako are available in South Korea, US West DLC has the Sixgill and Great White.

It's crazy how you seem to catch the same one. I've had that happen to me several times. Using this method, last night I went to number 20 on the US map and I caught a tiger shark, then a six gill, then I got the great white. Not sure if you got one yet but you know it's a great white because that thing is huge.

Switch difficulty to hard, expert, or normal, then switch back to your previous difficulty. That will generate a new pool of fish.

Using the TV under the fish section, you can add and remove them.

I was catch for a shark for 30min….I never had that kind of stuff….my hand were so tried and my battery always died, after 35min the shark broken the line…..

The brighter the fish on the fish finder the closer it is to the top. If it is dull the it is on the bottom. You can also fish in the middle. The fish will swim up and down to it.

You can use the same technique in South Korea you just need to target a different small fish and catch it over and over.

@Bryan Derr I usually just target and medium-sized green fish. Look for a medium sized fish and switch bait until it's green.

Pull back on the thumbstic. You do lose your bait, and if using a lure you have a chance of losing your lure also.
