IB and Andy will attempt to catch as many fish as they can using dry fly fishing techniques and euro nymphing techniques, to see who comes out on top in their latest river fly fishing challenge! Fly fishing in uk rivers for brown trout and grayling can be hard at the best of times, but when you're only using flies made from dog fur, it's bound to make it even more interesting! Love Snips, I have a sproodle, Pippa, they are great dogs, their joy at being with their humans and being outside is amazing, I can see Snips is the same. Their tail fur is great for salmon flies, particularly sunrays 😊
I used to tie flies with my black lab's fur when she was here. It did pretty well! Especially as a little jig streamer. Always good fun! I have one left that will forever sit on my tying desk. Always good to see you both, I feel like it has been an age!

I’ve used the fur from my mini Rex rabbits for dry fly dubbing. It’s superfine and dubs a treat.

I did tie a fly using hair from my leg and caught a fish. For some reason all the people I told about it were shocked! Although I’m a ‘cat man’ Snip is a cutie

Golden retriever under fur makes great mayfly nymphs.
