Catching Crawfish and River Cats | (Smoked Fish Dip)
Hey guys! Thank ya'll for tuning in once again!
Luckily we had a window of good weather after catching the crawfish where we could go set a few trotlines in the river! We didn't get a huge haul, but we got enough to eat!
We have been wanting to try some smoked fish dip, and we have never had any with catfish, so we gave it a go and it was absolutely delicious! I will put the recipe at the end!

Smoked Catfish Dip:
3-4 catfish filets (smoked)
8 oz cream cheese softened
8 oz sour cream
1/2 tsp dill
1/2 tsp fresh lemon juice (some zest)
! bundle of green onions chopped ( about 1/4 c)
Dash of Old Bay seasoning (to taste)
Dash of garlic powder (to taste)
1 tsp Worcestershire sauce
Dash of favorite hot sauce (to taste)
-Directions:
Smoke fish filets on 190 degrees for about 1 hour. Let cool completely.
Finely chop filets in food processor.
Add chopped fish to bowl with cream cheese, sour cream, and all other ingredients.
Stir to mix well ( should be spreadable consistency)
Serve with club crackers, or your cracker of choice.
Enjoy!

Catch a bluegill and crush it on the hook. Toss the bluegill back in. When you feel movement, swing it out fast. The bluegill will be covered with crawfish.

When i was a little boy i was catching crawfish and selling them to lots of people that was using the crawfish for bait ❤ i love eating crawfish 😊 Y’all are my kind of people great living ❤

When I was a kid my brother and I used to stuff all kinds of carnitas in our pockets. Crawfish, worms , lizards and whatever else we could catch in the creek. My mom was scared to wash our clothes. When I was a bit older I put a copperhead in a gallon pickle jar. I put it on my mom’s dresser to show her when she got home. Nobody warned me that was a bad idea . I lived to tell the story. That's the first time I ever seen baby bow fin .I love making fish patties out of the big bow fins. I know right where you are at hahaha just kidding I live in South west Louisiana. They will make the water look windy if that makes sense small ripples above them that school probably had a few hundred in it made a spot of water about 3 foot by 3 foot dance .

I ain’t been crawfishing yet but I’ve been catching my cats on shrimp and jus few 2-3 lbs each and small ones but haven’t been hitting it real herd yet
