He did a great job and fought that Gar perfectly! You can tell he knows what he’s doing. So, I use 2 St. Croix Premier Musky rods with Shimano Calcutta 400b conventional reels. All my other set ups are your @lcdbaitandtackle Custom rods with Penn Battle 8000 HS(high speed) spinning reels! Awesome video and looking forward to the next one! Tight lines!

I'm from Corpus Christi and moved to Port Isabel, then Edinburg in the RGV. I know alot of the Resacas down there (Bayview) and others and I've fished the Arroyo Colorado ( not for Gar ). I'm mostly Port Isabel situated but I love that you carved out a unique niche in the 956 fishing for GAR. More power to you. I just subs to your channel and keep the 956 adventures goinggg!

Everybody lets the gars go except these guys! The state has got to do something to protect these fish with the way these guys keeping them they might be gone within a few years! 93% of the alligator gar population has been reduced from what it used to be!

So you throw 6 to 7 floats out on the floats and when a fish takes them you roll up and hook up a rod to them

Live liner, bait feeder, bait runner Any of hose in spinning. Size 6000 to 8000 with 50 lb braid

if you let them take line at first like you are doing circle hooks is what you should be using they set themselves thats how we fish halibut
