Catching 100cm+ Forgotten Ponds Beasts on Deadbait!

For this session i decided to leave the urban setting that I'm used to fishing and head out to one of the forgotten ponds. This time i left the lures at home and took this opportunity to have a chilled out evening on the deabaits. Dead roach was the bait of choice on both rods. After fishing the margins for 20 minuets a change of tack ticks was needed after spotting pike chasing baitfish shallow in the middle of the pond. After setting my rigs to 2 foot deep that's when the action came!

Thank you for talking to me. I was homeless and you and your brother talked to me while I watched you catch pike! You made my day more bare able. You and your brother sat on the canal and bought drinks and we laughed until dark. I remember you And thank you All the best

Wow, that pike charging at your feet lol. It always amazes me that pike have got amazing eyesight and are sight hunters, yet they don't see the trebles, wire trace, giant float or a human standing in the water lol. It's that time of year that I should be dusting my pike gear off, thanks for the inspiration and another great vid. Get well soon, there's some really nasty stuff about in the UK at the moment, I had a head cold recently where my sinuses were screwed and it made me talk like a dalek as well as having what I would describe as apricot yogurt coming from my sinuses everytime I blew my nose. Horrible.

That's why you should always take time when retrieving your deadbait, because you never know what might be following it...☺And the second fish was a beauty. There's nothing like a big double figure Pike when it's huge head and that toothy mouth rise up at the landing net. It's why we Pike fish.☺ Great hook removal and excellent fish handling.☺ I bet you can't wait to get back on that pond and see if there's a 20 pounder willing to snaffle one of your deadbaits... P.s. The probs with all those forgotten ponds is that there’s little in the way of bait fish now a days so it will only maintain the big pike to around mid doubles with a few exceptions and they all have big heads and slim bodies. Nice fish tho but imagine if there was a healthy stock of skimmers and roach etc In those lakes, they would be big ass fish !
