The commentary during the non-catching times is why this is my favourite show. The joys of boating, cooking on the water, time spent with friends, the West Coast life. Awesome work, keep it up

Thanks Nathan, we feel all of that is just as much a part of fishing as fishing itself is! Thanks for watching.

You have the best fishing videos out there, hands down! Another great one. Question for you - it seems you are fishing less than 60' most of the time in Tofino - how close to the bottom are your lines and are you tracking with the bottom or are the fish suspended and you are at a constant set of depths? Mahalo.

Thanks for the kind words! Depth of lines for me typically depends on depth of water you are fishing. I usually like to start as close to the bottom as possible. I find fish travel here consistently. When inshore depths are shallower and offshore obviously deeper. Some of our recent salmon content from Tofino was filmed closer inshore therefore we fished shallower but still close to the bottom. You still have to pay attention to your electronics to see if you can find bait. If I find bait I’ll move my lines accordingly. Hope this makes sense.

Catch and release is truly a great experience. . We need a mark selective fishery to have the option to harvest hatchery fish but releasing large wild fish is just common sense

With all due respect Brendan, what makes you feel even better is not practicing catch and release, but instead keeping all fish which are of legal size until you limit out, with the exception of exceptional fish that are best suited to propagate the species. This way, a minimal number of fish are harmed, and the initial fish you catch and release are not stressed and injured because you want a different fish. Just think about it. I am a fisherman and a hunter.

1:35 Yup, ask anyone who fishes on the west coast, the past four/five years have been insanely productive. I'm sure the seals are well fed.

Thanks! It’s our go to setup as well. Run this on one side and bait with a glow teaser head on the other and then just find how deep they are.
