After being a chef for almost 30 years, the basic rule for octopus and squid cooking is 30 seconds or 30 minutes. Anything in between those times will make it rubber. The best is raw dipped in some hot simmering butter with lemon-pepper stirred in. You can do this in a fondue pot with clarified butter and McCormacs Lemmon Pepper and PuPu sticks and follows under the 30 second rule for cooking. Also works for Crayfish excellent!

You are very welcome! I actually build my own crayfish traps here in Seattle, WA. There's no season, limit, or license needed. Hunting under rocks is fun but for the biggest haul do just like you are,... going to cold rivers and creeks. Never a swamp or stagnant estuary. Just get your self a trap and bait it with raw chicken parts. Like the ones they put back inside a whole chicken at the grocery. After cooking , shock those little guys in Ice Water to really firm the meat. You'll have a win every time with all your friends and family.@@AceVideosOfficial

Hey!! Believe it or not you can actually cook a burger in the wave. You just pour teriyaki over the raw meat, put salt and peeper and put it in for like 4 minutes and I swear it tastes good!

He is so cute and love how he says he’s no chef but he’s cookin these fish up like a chef 👨‍🍳 Love it! Used to hate fish but now I use his cooking techniques and eat fish all the time!

If you didn’t know, the fish blending in with the rocks is called a “stonefish.” It is known to be one of the, if not the most poisonous fish in the world

Try grilling octopus. Definitely favorite way to do it. Boil it for a minute just to get it to curl up (for presentation purposes) then grill it. A charcoal grill would be ideal.

You really need to boil it for a a little while (sea water was a great plan) to get it tender. I bet if you'd thrown your boiled version on the grill for like 1-2 minutes a side with a little olive oil and lemon you would have really loved it. Just a thought for next time.

12:00 I believe what you are looking at was a stone fish, they can perfectly blend in with the area around them as they look like... well a stone, and most likely the most dangerous fish out there, they have spikes along their spine which can kill a human adult in just under 45 minutes at the most, and much less at times depending on how hard you stepped on the fish without even noticing it was there in the first place.

I usually boil my tako in beer and butter and a few crushed cloves of garlic. The beer helps to tenderize it as well. Boil it until it curls up, then I take it out, cut it into pieces and then put back in the liquid and simmer it for an hour. Super tender and flavorful.

Bro be careful the next time you see that fish with the colorful fins and was perfectly camouflaged. That’s a Stone Fish, and it’s VERY VERY venomous! As in it’ll-kill-you-dead-very-quickly venomous!

@@Nagisa12345 Yes indeed it is in fact it’s on the top 10 for the most dangerous animals in the world it ranks that number three right behind the blue ring octopus and the cone snail
