Catch more salmon at Buoy 10 using In-Line Spinners.

Спорт

I’ve been using this technique for years at Buoy-10. It never fails.

Hey Pro. If you are looking for a better trolling reel, check out the Penn Fathom2 line counter. Durable, smooth drag, great power handle which you can extend out for maximum leverage- very important cranking in 360’s with heavy weight. I use the size 15. Best reel for the price. Better than Tekota.

Ran it for a couple years. Great reel. They came up short on the line counter cover. With it being surface mounted we experience the cover falling off all of the reels. Once this happens the numbers are not protected and start getting jammed up. Other than that great real.

What's your thoughts on a regular sliding weight vrs a dropper that can get tangled up if it bounces off the bottom

I only use a dropper to give me an idea of how far off the bottom I am. You can achieve the same without. It’s just what I am use to.

I know this is an older video but curious if you can run that setup on one side and a pro troll on the other side of the boat? If so how would you manage those speeds?

  • @VIPOutdoors1

Yes you can. Your speed is not what you want to control/manipulate. Instead, change the weight. Heavier on pro troll and lighter on in line presentation until line angels are the same.

Is this set up used on rivers? Can this be used in the puget sound? Thanks

I use this set up in multiple rivers in Oregon. I dont know why it would not work in the Sound, but have never experienced it so I cant say that is does or doesn't. Sorry, wish I could be more helpful. Just make sure you are familiar with local rules and regulations before putting our treble hooks on spinners.

My grampa always trolled faster than most. He would say they don't get big and fat from being slow and lazy. The gear was always at a 45.
