I agree. Some pianists now have a very shallow touch, it's kinda funny how even a cat can produce a better tone.

There are a lot of cats that are playing the piano on youtube footage. But this is one of the outstanding footages. The cat playing the piano and the musical performance are synchronizing competently. I respect the person who came up with the idea! The piano style is heartfelt musical performance. It looks like the cat is making sure if the sound is right, watching the conductor at times. It seems like this cat has musical talent in playing the piano, and the cat is genius. Thank you for sharing.

That was my first thought as well! I thought this was going to be a YTP or a fake cat videos like the Keyboard Cat, but it's a genuine cat pianist with a real chamber orchestra and an actual arrangement.

Nora is actually playing for us. It brings me to such happy tears as well as sad 😢 because I think of all the sentient beings who could be like Nora and not given the chance. Spectacular, something so so special that I will share and remember for the rest of my life. So many thanks to the orchesta, composer, the leader, Nora's parents, and the other 2 little kitties that allowed me to cry with joy. I needed this, I needed to be happy if for just a few minutes. Live on for many, many years, little sweet pea ❤ She actually knew she what she was doing. Love her.

She’s brilliant! Loved how Noras piano solo was echoed by the flute solo! Love her musicality. Glad she’s still alive.

When Wagner's music was performed for the very first time, critics compared his music to "the sound of a cat walking on a piano keyboard". Thanks to Nora, we know now how beautiful it must have been. 😊

@@andersengman3896 Do you believe the cat is truly playing the notes with intent? Or do you suppose the cat is more like a small human child banging on the keys just to hear a sound with no particular notes in mind?

Clearly every note is thought about carefully - clearly divinely inspired with a transcendent quality - a prodigy up there with Mozart

What a talented performer! Great piece, beautifully executed.

I loved this. Such a solemn, soulful, intriguing piece of music.....just coming straight from the cat's heart. She clearly enjoys the sounds and her piano. Animals are so magnificent, and should never be underestimated for the sentinent beings they are. Cudos also to the musicians who added their magic around something so unique and special.

Wow, someone really wrote a whole arrangement around this cats mashing keys and then convinced a whole orchestra to play along. Incredible

she is a jazz cat at heart .......reminds me of thelonious monk , and a touch of late miles davis approch ....but chopin feel too . ....music reaches all ......in many ways ......wonderfull cat artist .

I wonder how you can teach a cat to play the piano like that… She obviously knew exactly what she was doing and was enjoying the music. Gorgeous.

First of all I have to stop laughing... this is beyond phenomenal. I'm a professional musician. This is classical music and this cat is understanding some very important things, like playing a note softly, or doing trills... I'm so blown away by this. This must've been weird for the owner when they discovered that their pet could do this.

Tears, real tears mind you, tears of joy, elation and hope. I feel a warmth in my heart I have not felt in ages. The fortitude in this feline is awe inspiring. You cannot deny the emotion that she is expressing through her priceless paws. I am hungry, hungry for more. I shall watch again and again, this I must. Nora, oh precious Nora. Nora is a real darling! Such an intelligent, yet innocent, little face. She's actually enjoying her piano playing and some passages really sound and look like human performances. The composer was very clever to blend the orchestral playing with Nora's own playing.

I'm surprised more pianists don't use that "whole face" technique -- it seems to work well for him!

There’s something so adorable and special about Nora and her original piano composition. Perhaps it could be called, “KittyComp in AG”.

The music is touching, the notes played by the cat seems random but is very melodic indeed. The composed concerto for this cat piano is superb. I really like this as I am also a cat lover. 👍

It's all a joke, this cat obviously loves causing sounds and a latvian composer named Mindaugas Pietaitìs has composed a concert along to its recordings. So put the blame on Mr. Piecaitìs, not the cat >^,,^

She puts so much emotion into it. I loved the paws in the middle section. Such beauty from Nora's performance. Apparently she trained at the Mancattan School of Music.
