Catapult Hunting | Catch and Cook | Bushcraft Skills
Тәжірибелік нұсқаулар және стиль
Today we practiced some of our bushcraft skills with fire lighting, wild cooking and hunting Rabbit with the slingshot. The slingshot is a fantastic tool for wilderness survival
The slingshot i used is my GZK Pro hammer ttf with adjustable sight's. My setup is 0.62mm thick green gzk flatbands tapered at 23mm to 17mm, shooting 8mm steel extremely fast. Speed is needed when shooting such light ammo but as you can see it's very capable hunting ammo for the catapult.
My kit today consists of my bushcraft knife which is a Esee RB3, my Silky saw, my wetterlings hunters hatchet, spare slingshot, wasp spinner, my swiss army knife and plenty of ammo.
Here's a link to my playlists where you can find slingshot shooting, catapult hunting, slingshot reviews and how to videos including how to aim a slingshot

It's amazing how accurate you can be with a catapult.😎😎😎
Chris, Another great video.. You are a man after my own heart. Outdoorsmen and eats what you shoot. I love that. I'm still working on my accuracy, practicing at 30 yards everyday! Jack

Man, that's some good shooting! I've just ordered some latex from Simple Shot so I can make my own bands because I'm going through them pretty fast. Can't stop shooting! This video and your last one have a lot of good information, thanks.

Hey Chris mate I have a question? I am right handed and my dimanet eye is my right eye with hand do I need to hold my catapult in right hand or left hand???

Hold it in your left hand. Use your right hand to pull the bands back to your right eye

Awesome shooting chris just if my shots were as precice as yours
Wow 👍
Brilliant
Not trying to argue with your choice of set up for hunting as it obviously works this is just a question. Do you think there is still a place for a set up like 11mm steel with 1mm bands for longer distance hunting ? I usually shoot 9.5mm with 0.7mm bands out to !5 metres , so I am asking about pushing out to 20-25 metres.
@CatapultCarnage

Yes mate definitely if your shot placement isnt 100% at range or you are shooting through brush then a heavier setup is a good idea. .7 is perfect for 9.5s Hunting imho
good stuff mate
The second one made me laugh.. It wanted to jump but "bang" dead it was😂😂
Good like
And what rubber do you use in your slingshots, a golden teraband or some other, and what kind of traction in kilograms or pounds for your slingshot. Thanks.

What size ammo you using? I can never get them to drop that easy for some reason.. you go for head or neck?
@paddymcgrath7927
4 жыл бұрын
If you hit them in the neck they stop moving faster than if you hit them in the head because if you hit them in the the head their nerves stay going for a while
Hi Chris.. What size ammo do you use for rabbit and squirrel also do you use the same ammo for pigeon/ Corvid/ pheasant..stay safe..Alan
