hello ma'am would you please explain homogenous and heterogeneous catalysis

Hi hv8tr, a homogenous catalyst simply means the catalyst is in the same phase as the reactants (for example all gases). A heterogeneous catalyst is in a different phase from the reactants. (The catalyst is a solid but the reactants are gases). I hope that helps!
