The music in the background makes this so dramatic. So not used to seeing Catalina falling.

I'm really worried for her, her form doesn't seem to be coming back. Let's hope she didn't peak at Euros.

I just hope she can hit it on the day! Tbh that fall was not an accident I could see her making.

This just wasn't her meet. And unfortunately this meet is what made her decide to retire. If she hit all her routines she probably would've kept going for a few more years.

She said something about the lights? If the illumination is too shiny gymnast could be disoriented :/

Yes she said in her interview that she has to get used to the lighting because its too distracting

Did you notice how she points her finger up at the lights when she gets back after her slip? She showed the judges that the lights aren't right. It's not only that they are glaring but also probably reflect of the white of the beam blurring its edges.

Yeah, the lighting in this arena was terrible. Catalina wasn't the only one that had problems because of it.

amethyst it was Podium. I believe she was trying to tell her coach. Too many for injured for it to he coincidence. The training equipment and actual competition equipment were not standard same. The lighting was incredibly bright and distracting and they had blaring ads all along the sides of the comp floor as the gymnasts we're performing. I feel awful for Cata, Larissa, Ragan, Rebecca, Vanessa, on and on. The top 5 or so contenders all taken out with injuries?? I def say something was OFF with the entire arena :(

I guess she'll chuck the full-in dismount on the day of the competition and pray to god she stands it LOL. Maybe it is my imagination but I feel like there is more tension and pressure between Ponor and Larissa than their competitors.

I'm feelling it too, since 2016 olympics. They look like to be working hard to beat each other, especially on BB and FX. And a silly detail: ROU is the only major country I see in this PT whose gymnasts are using different leos. In Euros, Cups, it looks like they're not from same team...

Larissa has a lot to prove (I think she already has) that she should have been in Rio I think it was a huge mistake to send a 2 event gymnast but...that's on romania lari is one of the sweetest girls, she interacts with all gymnasts from ALL countries and always wishes them wrll sorry but I hope she beats cata both on fx and bb

I don't know. They seemed pretty close in Cluj and supportive of each other. Larisa was running around to find Catalina's hoodie when she was preparing for FX on qualifications (Catalina had left it by the beam) and Catalina hugged Larisa a lot after the BB finale. They seemed to have sorted it out. But it's obviously Larisas turn to shine: her recent wins speak for her. Catalina has a complex routine that relies a lot on not very easy connexions. She looks very stressed. Larisa looks more confident.

I just think there’s a lot of pressure on each individually personally as well as extra to prove Romania still belongs in the conversation of fielding a team going into the next Olympics. Though there’s no team competition, it doesn’t mean Romania isn’t being judged.

She doesn’t seem so well right now... she’s usually really energetic on beam and floor but she looks a bit sluggish and inconsistent, but maybe she’s just playing it safe until Qualifications

Most of what was shown today was inconsistency from pretty much everyone.

The routine that wined the gold at the European competition. Sad is only the fact that no younger gymnast can beat her and I think this is amazing and says so much about her work and talent.
