It’s always emotional to listen to your childhood idols sing after 50 odd years

We’re lucky that grew up in the 60’s, 70’s with those wonderful artists like Cat Stevens and many others. The golden era of music, period.

Il n’y a pas qu’à dans la musique ou c’était les années formidables, mais dans tout, sécurité , années bonheur, à tous les niveaux …. Nostalgie, nostalgie…… Aujourd’hui, la vie ne vaut plus la peine d’être vécue, je suis content d’avoir connu ces années là et d’être à la fin de ma vie et partir avec le souvenir de ces années bonheur….

I wore out the album ‘Tea for the Tillerman’. I’m 72 yo now.

He still has the same voice. We grew up with his songs . We had and still have all his records . He’s a genius

Ageless... Reminds me of the 70's... childhood. Born in the 60's this is my heart! Thank you for sharing.

The man's 74. And still brilliant. I grew up with Cat Stevens and he has such an amazing voice. My cats love him too! Even my partner who is more of a Black Sabbath fan says "to be honest Amy, the man can sing". Love him!

I like to think that people are able to recognize the qualities that makes music good, regardless of what kind of music it is. It's the only way I can explain listening to and loving music as different as Wintersun, The Staves, Cat Stevens, Steve Vai, Plini, Planet X, AC/DC, Eivor, Yes, John Farnham etc. It really does not matter what genre it is, as long as the music speaks to you...

I had no idea, fifty years ago when I was at a Cat Stevens concert, that I would be listening to a Yusuf concert on KZread today. What I wouldn’t give to see him live again! I wish you would perform in the US, Yusuf. Thank you for entertaining me as my number one singer, song writer for over 50 years. Blessing to you and your family. ❤

Love it that the young crowd sings harmony with him. This what love does for the world.

Amazing. Still sounds as good as he did when I was a kid in the 70s. Beautiful voice and soul.

I knew and appreciated Cat Stevens in the 70s as a singer and an artist in a class of his own at that time. He represented the ideal of love and peace of that Hippy era tormented by the Vietnam War, and now that he, like me, is coming to the end of his life, I think he has remained true to himself. A big thank you from France for enchanting us with your lovely voice, which has aged as well as your soul!❤

Oh my day, Caring for a hubby with terminal cancer means I care for him and miss these wonderful events. Cat Stevens still absolutely wonderful and I play this all the time in the car. He was one of the best, is one of the best and always will be. Personal favourite lyrics you want him to live forever.....

Met Cat Stevens when l was a teenager, he's was a quiet unassuming man, but pleasant. I told him l loved his songs, and got his autograph. Yes a lovely man!!!.. ........

Cat Stevens/ Yusuf was the highlight of Glastonbury for me. His whole set was brilliant.

Thanks for this amazing recording Lyn, of an amazing artist. We are the same age, I grew up playing these great songs of Cat Stevens. Morning Has Broken was me & my wife's wedding song. A bit teary watching this. I've always loved Cat Stevens music, but 'Morning Has Broken' is a hymn that we sang at primary school in the 1960's - and suddenly I was back there. Then a large picture of George Harrison, another of my favourite musicians. Thank you for this recording.

Always brilliant. I remember.the days when Cat absolutely dominated the airwaves. He taught us that it was okay to feel. And Peace Train - he spoke for many of us and still does. My Cat collection of vinyl has been replaced by CD and now by mp3. When I treat my children to the best, Cat Stevens is on top of the list.

When he faced his younger self on the big screen in Father And Son. Extremely profound. Hes had multiple identities over his life .
