Glad you got the S61, and looking forward to future videos. I got someone to buy the S60 from you guys soon after it was released, and I'm sure they will be interested in this model when I told them it's coming soon. Great work as always!

It's great to finally see a true unboxing, hands-on video of this phone. I liked the S60 but because of the design of the door on the rear, I simply couldn't justify the price for something which I felt had a fatal design flaw. But now I feel like CAT has upgraded the specs and features and also improved the design to eliminate previous shortcomings. I will say I'm not a huge fan of the move to dust covers and internally sealed ports. Although this is an improvement over leaky port doors, this does leave the port contacts open to corrosion from salt water.

This phone is very nice and awesome. I wanted to buy it but it was a bit too expensive for me, but I don't know how but I won 1 of the 5 S61s when filling in the Survey they had on their site so I'm very very happy to get this phone!

You all say that the thermal camera is upgraded with a better resolution of 160x120 pixels. Looking at CAT site and the original manual is says that is ONLY upgaded at the thermal range up to 400c and keep the same resolution of 80x60 as the S60!

Howdy! I am replacing a broken Samsung Galaxy S6 Active. I loved the Samsung except the side buttons protruded so, regardless if it is in a case or pocket, the phone would turn itself on and dial 911. There was no way to disable this because of the protruding buttons. The proximity sensor also never worked so the phone does all kinds of crazy things when it is on and in your pocket. We do tree work so we climb with the phone, for both communications and photographic purposes. Do the side buttons on this Kyocera protrude? Can they be disabled?

Neat, quick question, can you do full uninstall Facebook without rooting the phone? I just got my new phone a couple of months ago due to my previousone breaking but I want to ask for future phones since I might get one whenever this one dies off.

Had so many problems with my s60. those flaps broke off after constant opening and closing to charge the phone. the textured print on the back has been peeling off so now the back of my s60 phone is the standard shiny plastic. the phone stopped working after a dip into the ocean even with all the flaps and switches closed

Why does my CAT S61 say 8m on the back for the laser distance and the one in this video say 10m ?

I bought the S60 from you on preorder. Apart from the normal camera which is dog shite the phone itself is very good. but I would never buy another cat phone again. Simply because you will not get any os updates for it. only security patches

Why cat did a very mest up move in lowering the capabilities of the thermal imaging camera that original came with the s60 used to have a better range of temperature then now does? It sounds like they just wanted to sell that update

Uh actually they improved the capabilities of the thermal camera. And added 4k to it. The thermal camera has increased temp sensing and sharper imaging in thermal mode so you can better make out what you are looking at in heat mapping. I think you mis-heard something or got bad info somewhere.

Brudas Man Can't you return it for fix ?

I want to know where in the EU alphabet does "I" become a FN "U". Its not FLUR its FLIR as in FLEER the "I" takes on a "E" sound. I understand engrish is hard but seriously this isn't that damn hard to figure out. If you are going to review something at least take the time to make sure you are pronouncing shit right. In the end other people will hear you say this wrong and copy you. This almost as bad as Brits pronouncing Aluminum. Except they turn it into Al U Min Knee um lol.
