That cat doesn’t think he’s a baby he s happy to have found someone who finally gets his lifestyle (sleeping 20 hrs a day stopping only to be cuddled and to eat).. and actually admires the skill at this lifestyle. Like not even waking to poop - respect !

@@calcat7375 That's so coo!, I love thatl!😻 Yes, one can train cats. I trained my oldest cat at 4 years old to walk with harness and leash. We got a dog when our cats were 10 and 6 years old. They both picked up the command "sit" and "stay" after watching me train our dog in the kitchen and living room as a puppy. We never thought them those commands. But both our cats sit when we say "sit" to them now. And they know so many words too; birds, food, up, down, downstairs, upstairs, outside, TV, look etc. Cats are amazing and facinating animals! 😻💝

Some cats are just amazing with children. I dont have kids myself, but I have had several maine coons and Persians and no joke... they have all been absolutely amazingly tolerant with children, especially little kids who love to grab and pull. It's all about the temperament of the cat.

Yes, animals can be unpredictable and that's why the mom has to watch that her son Charlie doesn't hurt Wilbur, as well as watching out that Wilbur doesn't hurt Charlie. Some animals are known to be unpredictable by nature, like bears. Some cats *can* be very predictable and maternal-like towards human babies as well (just look at all the videos of cats protecting kids...the one that pushed the toddler from walking down the steep flight of stairs and would not let it pass the threshold was the best). With that said, I still think supervision is a good idea when a child is only an infant. @@jasminemitchell8170

Wilbur saved her the effort of having to do it later. By the time she got around to it, Charlie might have gotten into something bad. Wilbur's just making sure mom gets things prepared early. 😊🥰

2:59 Wilbur knew he couldn't just drop on the baby and tried his best not to hurt Charlie. I think that's one of the most innocent yet beautiful things I've seen.

I have a flame point Siamese and a big fluffy orange cat, one is often the lookout while the other attempts to steal food. I cat proofed my cabinets with velcro to stop the madness. Now, they are opening the fridge. 🤦🏽‍♀️

They don't do anything badly unless the owners are essentially coaxing them to behave badly, even if it's only with their emotions, thoughts, attitude and posture. Even Cesar Milan has always taught that. Even owners if dogs (and cats) who DON'T want their dogs (and cats) to act badly, often egg them on with fear posture and imagining they're going to do something bad. He usually had to re-train the people to stop egging on bad actions. Cats are beautiful if treated beautifully!

Blows my mind how reckless people can be. Cats cuddling on a baby can be really dangerous. They can suffocate the baby accidentally. Also letting your cat's paws drag across a baby's face is super dangerous. They routinely walk through kitty litter and crap.

I agree that it's cute but I also am concerned for the baby's health. I always had cats while raising my 4 kids who are now grown. But I was careful not to let the kitty so close to baby's mouth or face. Even though this cat seems calm and well-tempered, a cat's reaction can be extremely quick. One scratch can take out an eye. Also the feeding is intermingled and I wouldn't do this due to viral infections possible. But please keep having fun with baby and cat. Irs just a bit TOO CLOSE at times, and therefore be watchful especially with any possible litter box cross- contamination.💖

The post and other responses are typical of a certain type of person who is very focused on super hygiene, safety, etc. From my perspective (as the opposite type of person), this type of outlook on life is highly neurotic. Both baby and cat are truly enjoying life together and I bet that kid grew up with a good immune system (unlike so many people now).

Love that mom gives Wilbur the late bite at meal time. That's really cute and a clever way to include him.

Having siblings and pets while growing up made my childhood the best. I hope I can do the same for my children as well

As a kid I grew up with cats in my house and I remember naping on the couch or my parents bed and the cats my mom had would cuddle with me. In my teens my parents eventually got dogs I love dogs and always wanted one but cats hold a special place in my heart, when ever I'm sleepy and I hear a cats purr it brings comfort and a nostalgic warm feeling that makes me fall asleep faster.

Too precious! Every child should grow-up with a fur baby. What's even cuter is they're both gingers! ❤️ 💙 💜

1:30 Wilbur blends in perfectly with Charlie's lil' giraffe. This is the cutest video I've seen among MANY!!! I've had orange tiger cats most of my life. Sundance is cuddled up on my shoulder as I type.... I've got to add....Wilbur is one of the sweetest, cutest orange kitties yet! LOVE him.

I was fortunate to have this very same upbringing. Been with cats ever since I was a toddler and they taught me love and gentleness. I learned later how to feed and groom them. When I have kids, I will do the same as I truly believe having a small friend that needs and loves you enhances your life and makes you merciful to the needs of others.

Now that is cute. Definitely a bond between them. A playful yet laid back cat. Cats really do make a house a home.

And they are both so loving and respectful of each other. Which is VERY unusual. Wilbur doesn't scratch at or bite Charlie & Charlie is very gentle & LL icing w Wilbur. Usually there would be some form of aggression from one side or the other. It's a very unusual relationship, and it shows how living their bond truly is

With Wilbur, I think it helps that he's quite young, so he figures everything must be normal. My cat was born in a box next to my bed (my sister's supposedly sterile cat got out and turned out to not be so sterile). My niece discovered the kitten the next day and I had to restrain her from crawling in to cuddle the *day old* kitten. He grew up with her enthusiastic affections and now just looks a bit put-upon when she insists on hugging him.

Well I think Wilbur is not able to scratch Charlie because it looks like he has been declawed. 😢 But it is nice to see how they interact with each other in this video. I am wondering how The Dodo thinks about declawing cats. In the Netherlands it is forbidden and considered animal abuse.

Wilber IS a baby! So freaking sweet, the both of them. Charlie’s little smiles brighten my day.

This was my Kitty Freaky Cat (RIP Mommys girl)25 years ago with my boys, she never left their side. It was a beautiful thing to see, I got her as a Christmas present 1997 & my first son was born in March, she would sleep on top of my big prego belly then when he was born wouldn't leave him. Both my boys grew up loving animals and now have kitties of their own 💜

Looks like the cat is still kind of a kitten too; at the very most the furball is a feline adolescent. They will grow up together and 'Tabby' will be the older cat sibling the world has never had before! Very cute. Only thing that worries me is when I saw his paw over the babies eye. Stuff like that I’m constantly paranoid about. Because I don’t really know that it’s paranoid, it’s extra cautious. I was worried animal is gonna claw their eye and make them blind. I’m actually surprised more people don’t get severe eye damage with different sports or roughhousing or whatever.

She got her for her 13th. birthday, 8 th. grade, through high school, 4 years of college, marriage and three kids. When her kids saw pictures of her when she was younger they could not believe how pretty she was. It surprised me, then my daughter explains, they did not know Couyon as a young cat. I’d never thought of that. When she passed it was losing a member of their family. Take lots of pictures, save them up for your baby. You will be glad you did.

Orange / yellow tabbies are such amazing kitties. I've been blessed to have had three in my fur baby family over the years and they've all been so loving, affectionate and truly very special. I've always had a pup (Lhasa apso) when I've had them and they all bonded wonderfully 💕🐾

I was raised by my mom's 2 black cats....always with me, crawling, sleeping, playing. Brother & sister cats, they babysat me. I grew up loving all animals, but especially cats! Instead of cats being the babies too, it was more like...I became a cat,😂😸

Wilbur is a very funny and loving companion for Charlie. Hopefully Wilbur has a long life so Charlie can grow up with him.

@Officer Dibble it's sad that some people belive those comments are genuine. My favourite was a Facebook message request saying your beauty can't be overlooked. I'm not pretty even less on pix. Therefore my profile pic are my cats. So I thanked him for calling my cats such beauties cause he can't see what I look like. I guess Hits don't have answers for that

Charlie looks like such a happy baby. It's a tribute to his mom who has so much love for both the baby and the cat. She trusts the cat not to hurt baby and they are wonderful together.
