Son de Flor gifted me a few pieces from their Fall/Winter 22 collection and I thought it would be super fun to put together some casual renfaire outfits! I've been spending basically all fall at various renaissance festivals and while I love putting together big elaborate costumes, sometimes I just wanna hang out in a casual (but thematically appropriate) outfit, drink mead, and play some carnival games. Other than the Son de Flor pieces, most of what I'm wearing is stuff I've made, so check out the videos for those!

I love the character customization vibe the editing in this video has, especially with all your little "idle animations" lol. Not to mention how great all the outfits are!!

yessss!!!!!!
Me the whole way through, "oh this one though, no...this one's really cute...oh...that one tho-" the green apron look was my fav casual ren faire look but the goth plant witch look is my favorite idea. (this probably took a hundred years to edit but the little effects were v satisfying so thank you!)

Aah haha I’m glad you like it! At least it’s good indecisive-ness? And I had a lot of fun editing this one! Worth the effort 😊
Okay, but the editing?!?!! This was an absolute joy to watch. Each outfit is stunning. I can’t decide what one I like best! Lovely video, made my day!

Aah thank you! I’m glad the editing went over well 😊
This was a super cute concept! I felt like I was watching the character design section of a video game. And the looks were great for a ren faire-especially for someone who wanted to go “in costume” without much effort. Thanks for the ideas, and for the Baby Bat sighting! Keep up the great work and creativity!

Thank you so much! Aah that’s what I was going for I’m glad it worked! 🥰
I love how much you transitioned between really different looks while layering with the same pieces and the styling of switching between pieces is such fun to watch!

I really appreciate you being concious of inclusive sizing, even if you personally fit into the standard range, it means a lot. I love son de flor's stuff but I cant wear them.

Aw well I want everyone to feel seen and important, so I hope I can convince more size inclusive brands to work with me! I’m also hoping son de Flor expands their size range in the future!

@@moth.faerie Me too! I am hoping videos like yours help convince them. I feel like there are not a lot of size inclusive brands in this style, so I would love to hear of any you find.
The idea of gothic plant witches…gives me life! Love all the different looks!

Yess all the cottagecore stuff but make it kinda goth is like the brand image im striving for haha
Thanks Minji! I super appreciate you going out of your way to explain your struggle to find more size inclusive stuff to show us. It means a lot :) and this video is super fun! :)

Here you are, looking super cute in all these outfits, reminding me that I need to make more bodices and corsets. 😂

Thank you! And yesss bodices and corsets are honestly the most satisfying projects to me
I've never seen a character customization version as great as yours, and I promise that I'm not just saying that! It was not only super cute, but also going from comfy clothes to the outfits and then back to the comfy clothes was great! I also really liked the mix where almost every outfit had similarities to the one before, to really highlight the fact that mixing and matching is easy. I've never been great at doing that and this is really helpful to people like me! +10 for Baby Bat!
Honestly, I think you did this styling video perfectly! You were concise and efficient in what you said, and didn't prattle on. You gave so much information in a short time. It was great!
something in me clicked and now i finally know (or have a starting point) of what kinda style i want and how i want my fashion to be

@@moth.faerie when I showed my coworkers your video/my online shopping cart, they said it reminded them of red riding hood? lol maybe red riding hood core
This was so cute! It was like playing dress up, or like that first bit of playing the sims when you create a character and pick out outfits and imagine a life for them 🙈 really love that you had different themes for the different outfits. I really enjoyed this!
Ah! The hops are so in sync! Honestly, I really was amazed how much variaty you got through all the outfits. It's really cool.
I love the video game/character customization vibe of the editing. It is so cute and keeps a simple outfit video so interesting! Would love to see more of these! Also as someone who always goes just a little to extra at ren faires it is awesome to see these more simple ideas to stay comfy, especially on longer ren faire days
I love the way you did this! I’m glad you stuck with a few core pieces and mixed and matched them. I adore capsule wardrobe ideas, so this is great! Especially for costume wardrobes since I love hitting up events but can only visit a handful per year so I can’t justify an expansive wardrobe for it. This shows how many looks you can pull together with a few items and plenty of creativity! Excellent!
Love the way you used the aprons & belts to change the vibe. Great to watch visually as well, nice job!!
That mushroom apron is to die for!
I am in love with the pendulum necklace
Witches is a great idea. Your peasant looks could also be turned into gypsies. There's so much to choose from. Elves, Fairies, Royalty, Celts, Vikings. I love Renaissance Fairs.
I really like you talking through all the outfits! Explaining your reasoning for how adding one piece or removing another changes the look is really helpful for someone who is less familiar with historically inspired or ren-fair styles :)
this was loveeeelyyyyyy. the little sound with each jump made me smile every time
This was so fun to watch especially in this format, the outfits are amazing!!!🥰🥰🥰
Love the witch looks! Unique and inventive for a renfest!
I just want to wear these every day (minus the sword)
Your movements were so cute! Love the character select vibe and also loved all the different outfits!
Okay, first of all, the editing on this is SO charming. Really great way to communicate your intent and also add some fun flavor to the video. Second, I love the styling of all these outfits!! They are all fantastic. And really inspired my outfit for the MD faire tomorrow feat my new brown pinafore from Son de Flor!! I was already thinking of tagging you as a thanks for the discount code, but now I'll be crediting this video as inspo!!!
Cute everyday outfits... nice for rainy weather.
Love these!!
I love this type of video ! Thank you so much for sharing :)
cuuuuute i love this!
I love the sets!!
This was lovely! :)
This super helpful and very fun to watch!
So fun loved this! And several things I want to buy now 😄
Very well done concept!
this is so cute and fun! i love the pirate outfits
Very fun video, you’ve given me all sorts of ideas for my next renaissance faire outing!
You’re so pretty 😁 I love the outfits you make! My friend likes your content too!
So lovely! Great idea's and your witch hats looks so cool too!
This was a really fun video, great job!
The editing and style are really cute in this video. Love the way you put the pieces together to get so many different looks.
Great outfits. Cute dress-up game vibe
I loved this whole video. Would love love love love to see you do this again!
this is amazing!! i've been working on a everyday capsule wardrobe and i feel like this is it!
I absolutely adore the video game character customization editing. It's so cute and keeps the video interesting! I also love the fits, very cute!!
I enjoyed how you edited the transitions. I like that it wasn't just popping into a new outfit but that it reminded me of a video game somehow.
i love the formatting of this video! the background was great with all the color palettes you chose for your outifts and not boring, and I really like the game character vibes you went with when showing the clothes. also, totally open for more witch style ideas lol
I love the video game type editing you did. Plus so many combinations! Props for all the jumping 😂
I love this video idea and I love how many options you included for outfits with some of the same pieces! I just think the way that you're editing is really fun and you should keep it up however you want
This was fun!
I just found your channel recently and I’m loving these videos/outfits! So cute! I’m going to the ren faire soon so this really hyped me up! ❤
Most of these are what I want to look like every day, please and thank you.
I loved all these outfit ideas, they were very inspiring, and you looked cute hopping and spinning around like in a character creator screen!
Every single one of these is such a cute outfit! Also agree with everyone the character design aspect of the editing was so fun 😂 that flower apron 😍😍
I love it!
i like the dressing a character in a video game setup here, very fun to see! also baby bat!!
What a fun video! The editing was neat :)
I love how this is edited! This was so fun to watch!! Thanks for the Baby Bat content too lol
oh my god I love this, the editing, the music, the outfits, don't really have ren faires in the UK but I'll likely use these as just everyday outfit ideas :)

Thank you so much! Yess good thing about casual renfaire is that they can also work for everyday 😊
i'm going to my first renfaire next weekend and i'm so excited! my friends commissioned me to make some things for them on top of working on my own costume and i cant wait to get everyone together! love the video - getting me hyped for the faire ; - ;
This is great !!! So many looks while being short n sweet... many of those looks I need... thank you... blessings
I love your poses/movements in the different outfits! Since you weren't just standing still, we got to see the outfits from different angles, and it felt very natural, like I was watching a friend try on different outfit options!
I really liked the editing style of this video! Very cute and engaging but still laid-back and relaxing to watch.
I love your styling videos so much!! So cute and great inspiration :D

This was so well put together and I loved the editing. Perfect inspiring.
I've never been to a renfaire, but I would definitely love to go to one!! Your channel is definitely a place where I find a lot of inspiration for my own outfits and projects, so I really appreciate this!! :)) You're definitely one of my favorite creators 💜💜💜💜
Just went to my first one this past weekend. I loved it. Next year I want to go in costume. ❤
The editing! The fits!!!! love the whole video ❤❤❤
My favorite ren faire outfit pieces come from Holy clothing which is size inclusive. I also really love a basic long gazy skirt and crop top that you can find at alot of ren faire sellers
Loved this video. Loved All the outfits ! 😍 Can't lose with starting and ending with "Baby Bat"! Lol !
I love this video! So many cute looks, but you also show us how to make all these looks with really not that many pieces that can be just mixed up different ways!
The editing was so cool, it reminded me of sims changing their outfits lol
I adore the way you did the costume editing on this video, would love to see more vids like this, maybe with more bases plus different vibes like fairy and dark academia
This video is aaaaaammmmaaaaazzzzziing!!! I don’t have any historically-inspired costumes but this makes me want a zillion
This is so cute! I don't think I could buy any of the clothes due to sizing, but I have so many ideas now! Love the transitions!
I really enjoyed this format!! I don’t really have access to Ren Faires anymore (not big in France) but I definitely want to take inspiration for some « daily cosplay » outfits for work! (And thank you for linking the videos for other projects you’ve made - I will be rewatching some of those for more inspiration!)
Son de flor does do custom dresses for any size 😊
Haha your edits are so cute! I love how they look like your customizing a character in a video game! I’d love a tutorial on how you made that shirt if you’d be willing to make one, It’s so versatile!
Loved the styling video! More, please!

My 2 year old son and I really loved your video he especially loved your outfit changes when you jumped up and made a little pop noise made him giggle every time ♥️♥️♥️ love how versatile all the outfits were, so lovely.
Love the vid. Very cute
Very cute looks! Great job on the video! Erika
I wanted to share with you that on Monday I'll start taking a pattern making course because watching your videos has made me realise how much I need to learn how to alter patterns and make my own!!
Love all the looks! The faires here are all so far away. Son De Flor is so pricey, so while I save up I think I might try and sew my own versions of their skirts at least lol
Great video and outfits. :) Maybe you could do one for everyday outfits in a ren faire style too?☺️
Can I just say that your cardigan is so cute?? 😭😭😭😭 I saw the little soot sprites and literally did this: 👀👀👀👀 omg she has soot sprites on her sweater lolll
The character generator format was really precious.
I just wanted to add to the comments saying that the editing style was great! It looked like you had a lot of fun figuring out the "animation waiting movements[???]" like characters do when you are designing them for a game or they are just waiting for you to do something. It seems like kind of a fun small step into acting in a way along with experimenting with the editing. The flow was really good and I could tell you put a lot of effort into the order of everything. I'm excited to see what kind of things you change or keep. I liked the sound design as well. It was there but we could still clearly hear what you were explaining in the voice over. That was very well done and balanced. I hope that wasn't too bothersome for a comment but that it is encouragement for you to keep trying what you like to do and feeling free to experiment :]
Wowowowow i had to give a comment for the effort in this video! ! The editing, syncing the jumps and even just putting all these clothingitems on and off. As someone else wrote, this surely was an absolut joy to watch!!! I hope you dont put pressure on yourself where this high performance (behind and in front if camera) burns you out. It was a very sweat suprise!!!! Well Done well done support support ilyyy
Great info
While this brand isn't size inclusive, I really learned a lot from your videos. I always find myself being stuck for outfit building ideas because I get caught up in all my ideas~ Your video really gave me a formula to follow for different vibes and how to maximize the pieces I already have- which is EXACTLY what I wanted. Thanks for the great ideas and useful guidelines!
I think you just made a ren faire capsule wardrobe.😊
Do you have a video about making your pirate shirt? It is super cute!
This is super cute and I love the editing! If you wanted to take it to the next level of fancy, you could try different transitions to add or remove garments, not just jumping (like at one point you did a heel click to change boots). A spin, a swoosh, leaning down and standing up, etc.. But I also super love the vibes of just jumping, which give it a fun video-game feel -- like other commenters pointed out.
Very cute. And a nice video. Well done. One of these fine days me and Mister Husband are going to have to make our way down to the States and get us to a Ren Fair. - Cathy (&, accidently, Steve), Ottawa/Bytown/Pimisi
Would still love a list of size inclusive companies!
Just in case your affiliate link ends after just the direct link in description. Love your editing and outfits :) so cute.
