Going to chime in and say I'm super excited about more Metroid on your channel! Not that I'm tired of the CV of course!

Metroid Fusion has the best open world rando of any Metroid game, no exaggeration. ZM's get a bit samey whether or not you turn off early power bombs, and Super's feels cryptic at times (at least to me) where Fusion is a nice blend of both

how cryptic super's is largely depends on how you customize the logic. if you don't know/don't want to do certain tricks, just say you don't know them in your preset and they won't be in logic

I agree, it's like the game has been made for a randomizer because you can get to different places by having very different items and many different paths.

Fusion is my first love in the Metroid franchise and this is a great way to re-experience it.

fun fact, when this game came out. people didn't like it at first for being extremely linear compared to the rest of the franchise. nowadays it's considered one of the three best games of the franchise next to metroid prime and super Metroid.

Is it? I don't personally know anyone who considers it one of the best two games in the series. It's always either Super Metroid or Metroid Prime. It's explicitly not my favorite because it's linear. Might be fairly difficult to sequence break in Zero Mission but it's still actually possible.

It's definitely not among the best games of the franchise well is not like there's many games to begin with, rather this game has one of the best stories of the franchise and possibly best atmosphere, but still the linear design heavily drags down the game reputation and obviously enjoyment.

Fusion is hands down my favorite Metroid game and I'm happy to see you playing it. Also I didn't even know there was a rom hack like this for it. I did play one that fixed wall jumping and bomb jumping

honestly fusion hooked me into Metroid. Sure it's linear as heck, but the nice thing about it being linear is that in vanilla you absolutely KNOW there's a solution to keep moving forward. I first got into Metroid with Super and i got super lost super easily, especially because I absolutely forgot where the power bombs went to, to get to crocomire. Fusion made me fall in love with Metroid and I've even came back to Super and managed to beat it in an hour and a half such a fun series, can't wait to see this run of the rando

I’m not a fusion speedrunner or a randomized specialist, but I always found speed booster starts to be the most exciting

Would love to see alot more of these on your channel, would you also consider doing dread randos?

Damn, that clean Serris fight. I'm still unable to react to anything it throws at me and in my runs I resort to cheesing on top ladder.

Think it’d be nice if navigation rooms gave hints the way the gossip stones and such gave hints to items in Zelda randos. I know there’s more checks in Zelda games (500+ compared to _maybe_ 200 max) but it could still be a nice way to prune down checks

Metroid fusion was my first game into metroid i had a save file near to end of the game but no idea how to progress on it... it was the room before ridly and the yellow space pirates I had no idea what to do and yea nothing worked so I started a new game and yea struggled for a long time

You can charge shot then in the back to damage them (just saying for newcomers of the game).

You can shoot them in the back or when they are off-screen (but that's a bit harder)

I don't think I've ever realized the omega metroid deals so much damage. That's kinda ridiculous.

that's so cool, but I don't get why your beam didn't update for the omega fight? I figured it would give you the SA-X ice beam

Ice beam is separated from the SA-X suit in the randomizer. It's normally 1 item in vanilla but was split to give more routing choices and as a way to get out of lower 4.

Curious, why dont you ever update the tracker for E.Tanks and Missiles?

@@wannabecinnabon As someone who does casual prime rando's, takes about 4 hours on a HORRIBLE seed if you dont learn any type of tricks. And tricks like scan dash and Bomb Space Jump cut that time down by a large margin. Fun game to route, too.

I wish I knew how to set up and play this randomizer

It’s super easy- go to the metroid construct forum and search for MFOR (metroid fusion open randomiser). Installation instructions Will be there. You just need a rom and emulator

Sucks you don't like blasphemous I thought you be all over that game sense it is very skill based.
