    The cereal run!

  • @XperimentorEES
    @XperimentorEESАй бұрын

    Another thing about the nutritional labels (and not just for cereal), food companies don't have to report anything under half a gram, that's also why they keep a small serving size to artificially make their salt or fat content look low. The most obvious example is tic-tac, basically a sugar pill with some mint extract but since each is .49g they get to list it as 0% daily sugar.

    @@Charles.Wright Indeed that's part of why a marbled burger is better than a pure one! But it wasn't so long ago they tried to blanket blame all vaguely fatty foods for the obesity epidemic, and there was a noticeable surge in 'lowfat' & 'fatfree' alternatives; when it was specifically the artificial transfat that was the problem, besides peoples' lack of self control regarding moderation of course. I'm no dietician by any means, however just trying to enlighten some people that there's subtle business practices out there explicitly to protect the company not the consumers.

    The not eating breakfast talk is so real. That was huge for me when I first started taking my daily calorie intake more seriously. I found it much more satisfying to eat two decently sized 700-800 calorie meals a day instead of three kinda meh 500-600 calorie meals. Plus, like your were saying, most of the quick easy breakfast food is going to set you off on the wrong foot anyways.

If you want something cheap and quick, 2-3 eggs with bread, cheese and something quick to make like ham, bacon or sausage if you want + some fruit is great. Amazing how the world changes. when I was 4 years old it took me a whole week to beat this game one summer. That was like 5 hours a day minimum. That same summer I finished megaman 2 as well. Side note, the best way to enjoy cereal and still maintain a decent amount of health? Get all bran buds and do half a cup, then half a cup of any cereal you like. Only use skim or 1% milk of course. That way you get 80 % of your daily fibre in one shot and still get some tasty cereal. Helped me to drop 80 lbs. You really understand how you are supposed to poop after a week of getting proper fibre intake.
