This is a summer album, this is a fall album, this is a christmas album, this is a roadtrip album, this is a celebration album, this is a bad day album. Any mood or season, it just fits.

This music remind me of the time before all the social media and cellphones just going to a place like the mall to have a good time with friends the whole day as teenagers.
Just found out about CASTLEBEAT today! As someone who was a teenager in the 80's, I love how the genre has evolved and yet has the same roots. I hear Cocteau Twins, Jesus and Mary Chain, Slowdive....just to name a few.

I walked streets and traveled with bus and trains, sat on park benches alone in Germany with this album playing constantly in my ears. Once I put this on, everything fits and falls into place, everything and everyone becomes beautiful, especially after sundown. This piece of art will continue to walk my journey with me as long as I have the ability to feel music. The rest of what I felt I can't really put into words, but I'm pretty sure someone out there understands.
Dear spirit goth records. Thank you! Sincerely all the wannabe hipster teenage-young adult stoners and dreamers who listen to these beautiful bands.

Christ Yeshua, an innocent man died for our wickedness, guilt and shame. So that we can be free. Children are discarded by their own blood for self promotion. People are wasting their freedom to abuse people. God isn't. People are. People who think they know better, but cause pain, agony, and distroy people's hope... Woao there are many people that they are really secure on what they do... I wish I could be like them... guess Castlebeat is just like... some people like it, then they don't know why this kind of music likes them... so I guess the melody and rhythm is the way to say goodbye on their own words... that's why when they sing... just few people know what the lyric says...
This is quite great and carries on a rich tradition of whining saps who play music. Essential. Best cuts: Wasting Time & These Days & Video Tape...my favorite is Video Tape.

Thank you so much, this album has been on repeat the past few days. Love it!
Great LP guys !!! This is dope !!!
I remember finding this back in March 2020. When covid hit, it wasn't the unbearable and dark timeline it is for a lot of people nowadays. It was bewildering. I was excited to have another week of spring break. I was curious with the world, I looked at live streams about cases rising and streams of the world in general. During that time, I was also listening to music and this was one of those albums I discovered. Back in March, I was in my room, windows open, it was sunny, clear, warm. Even though the world had eventually stopped, I felt like I was in my own little world. Listening to this album and somehow enjoying this curious stage of quarantine. It's weird, the beginning stage of quarantine to me is met with positive and yet, nostalgic reasons. I will never forget listening to this album and sitting in my bed looking at the clear sunny sky of quarantine. It's probably the best moment of this whole covid stuff. Thank you CASTLEBEAT for providing something comforting in a time where everything was anything but. sorry for the long comment, i just wanted to explain the impact of this wonderful album it had on me :)
I listen to this while taking a road trip up to northern California. life is good again. (actually at home doing nothing on the other side of the world)
