This game needed a sequel. It’s fun to playthrough a few times with friends, but it gets so tedious when you just wanna try all the characters. The gameplay itself also gets stale, you end up just trying to do infinites.

The remastered version was technically castle crashers 2 with all the new additions. They could have tried to make a new story with new characters but some things are better off left as it is

Honestly im ok with not having a sequel, behemoth understands oversaturation and only alien hominid has/is getting a sequel. We got dad n me, alien hominid, castle crashers, battleblock theater, pit people and the upcoming alien hominid invasion on top of the remasters!

The thief was by far my favourite character. I called him Kenny for obvius reasons. He was also the first character with whom I beat the game alone (every other playthrough I played with my dad) so the name was also apropiate given the amount of times I died.

I spent 4 months trying to beat the industrial castle on insane mode. Idk how but after 4 months I finally realised that I made a big mistake and then just easily beat it without any teamates or potions

2 years ago someone was willing to help me beat that stage but after we beat it the person was like gone for like 20 or 30 minutes I was waiting freaking out screaming I was like no no no no no I just need to walk to the right wait for a 12 second cutscene and I get the character I was so thankful he came cuz I was about to lose it

@@LagartoChicloso industrialist is best for bosses and enemies that don't take knockback, have fun completing flowery field in insane mode with industrialist,whereas red knight can stun most enemies *except* bosses

this is probably the best guide ever for unlocking the playable characters in castle crashers remastered.

I need necromancer and conehead, they're designs are so cool

Kinda wish they make character unlock like this a job progression or a character progression instead. Cause some unlock doesn't seems fit like Thieves somehow doesn't unlock Ninja.

Something i just realized: castle crashers is a prequel to pit people and the events of battle block theater happen before pit people, and alien hominids show up everywhere throughout the timeline. And dad n me takes place around the same time as alien hominid 1, which alien hominid invasion is a sequel to.

What makes castle crashers such a good game is that it isn’t pay to win at all it actually makes you grind for your characters and i totally respect The Behemoth for that

Holy crap a character guide under 10min

I used to see the Cult Minion in the original game and I thought if you beat the game with him, that you'd unlock the Cult Leader. Sort of a shame that isn't the case. In other news, the original game had the king, Necromancer, and Cult Minion as a buyable DLC pack for the game.

My cousin always wondered how these were unlocked, when I showed him, he couldn’t believe it was even possible.

Hatty hatington actually comes for free if you bought ‘’battle block theatre’’. (Idk if its only for steam, but battle block also gives you a hat of a castle crasher character if you bought the game)

blue knight the strongest gets the 2nd strongest character in game. (blue knight freezes enemiee which is very usefull.) Industrialist can spam his "magic" and it destroys everything.

Only one I haven’t gotten is the cult minion, easily the hardest character to get in the game

I remember I was playing non the ps3 and I join a random lobby online that was doing insane mode and when we beat industrial castle I was so confused on how I got the necromancer because the internet said you could only get it in the remastered version.

i just got this on steam and i lost all my progress on ps3, wish me luck with getting necromancer, it was easy beating everything up until this point on insane mode but this is literal hell

i remember when we are saving the princess and suceed we TRYED to go through the gate then my friend hit and damage me and said "did i just hit you" and then he killed me

Hatty can be unlocked buying batle block theater too

I wish I could play as the Trolls from The Thieves' Forest or the Fish People from Medusa's Temple

Damnit… I used Hatty for my first play-through, I shoulda used one of the four base knights… I didn’t know that you could unlock that many characters, lol.

1:57 (PC)Or own battle block theater on steam while you also have castle crashers

Reliability with tons of different characters that are all unlockable in game, except for 2 dlc characters (a dollar each) and hatty (owning battle block theater) behemoth knows how to make a great game, unlike most triple a devs/pubs who would make everything paid dlc.

In game development - its the small things that matter to a player on top of the base game: unlockable characters, different modes (like the arenas in CC for example or the mirror mode for games in the sega genesis mega drive collection) mini-games, etc all add to the experience!

@@mr_indie_fan Not everyone, Industrialist and Fencer are the same, Brute and Snakey are too, there’s literally an entire fan-named section of characters called “Arrow Rainers” (Stoveface, Peasant, Civilian, Thief and Open-faced Gray Knight) and there’s a couple other palette swap characters, such as Conehead and Royal Guard. I’m not trying to start a war, but I’m just saying that not all characters are different from one another. PLEASE don’t make a big deal over this, because I don’t want to deal with a wave of angry people being mad at me because I said something in this game was bad.

Cult minion is devious to get.

It’s called the Kings Arena to get the barbarian

i have no idea why but I have the cult minion unlocked but ive never even gotten past the industrial castle on insane mode
