I have all characters on the 360 and Xbox One version of the game. This is my favourite XBLA game along with BBT, Dust An Elysian Tail, and Marble Blast Ultra. It's so good.

A more refined explanation of how to unlock all the characters by me. There are 31 total characters you can play as in all six versions of the game. The characters listed below are shown with their unlock methods and who unlocks who. These characters are named as such on the top because of how they are unlocked. Read on below... Playthrough Characters are unlocked simply by beating the game as others. For example, beating the game as Blue Knight will unlock the Industrialist, who in turn unlocks Fencer. In multiplayer, you have to make sure that you don't level skip. Level skipping is never a good idea when it comes to unlocking these characters with friends. For the record, it's actually faster if you unlock these characters in single player because multiplayer playthroughs take longer to complete. Green Knight > Royal Guard > Saracen Red Knight > Skeleton > Bear Blue Knight > Industrialist > Fencer Orange Knight > Fire Demon > Ninja *Gray Knight > Stove Face * = Complete levels Home Castle to Barbarian Boss to unlock Gray Knight. Arena Characters are unlocked by beating all five arenas in the main game mode. You'll fight 10 waves of enemies in each of them, and you must defeat all 55 enemies in the arenas to play as the enemy you fight in that arena (with the exception of the Snakeys in the Peasant Arena for some... strange reason). Note that these characters can only be obtained through them in SINGLE PLAYER ONLY. King's Arena > Barbarian > Killer Beekeeper Thieves' Arena > Thief > Snakey Volcano Arena > Conehead Peasant Arena > Peasant > Civilian Icy Arena > Iceskimo > Brute The characters listed above are the ones who will ALWAYS be unlocked in the exact same way no matter what version you're playing. But when there are the characters with the same unlock conditions, there are also characters that have unlock conditions, depending on the version you're playing. There are 23 total characters listed above, and you'll be playing through the game with 13 of them, which is like half the characters with a white skull that appears in the top right corner of their portraits on the character selection screen, indicating you've beaten the game as them. Alien Hominid (or just simply Alien if you will) has the same unlock condition on all but one version. -For the Xbox 360 version, you'll need to purchase another game by The Behemoth, called Alien Hominid HD. Once you download the full version of that game, you'll need to unlock 1 achievement to be able to play as him. -For all other versions of the game, simply beat Alien Ship. Pink Knight and Blacksmith are DLC characters for half the consoles. Specifically the Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, and Steam versions. Pink Knight is free on the Xbox 360 version while he is a paid DLC on PS3 and Steam. Blacksmith on those versions is full-on paid DLC, so you're gonna need some money to get them both. On the Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and Nintendo Switch versions of Remastered, both Pink Knight and Blacksmith are available from the get-go because there is no DLC for those. King, Gray Knight 2, Necromancer, and Cultist are also paid DLC characters, but only for the Xbox 360 version. -King and Gray Knight 2 are in the King DLC Pack. -Necromancer and Cultist are in the Necromantic DLC Pack. On all other versions of the game however, they are unlocked by completing levels on Insane Mode. A near full playthrough is required to achieve them. Here are the levels needed to beat Insane on to get a character: -Catfish > Gray Knight 2 -Pipistrello's Cave > King -Industrial Castle > Necromancer -Ice Castle > Cultist And finally, we have Hatty, who has the most unlock conditions out of any other character. -For the Xbox 360 version, his requirement is similar to that of Alien's: another game by The Behemoth (in this case, Battleblock Theater) must be owned with 1 achievement unlocked to play as him. -On the PlayStation 3 version, he is unlocked similarly to Pink Knight and Blacksmith: a paid DLC yet again (Can't Stop Crying DLC). -The Steam version only requires you to simply download Battleblock Theater (no need to play it, go look for the Can't Stop Laughing bundle on there). -On the Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and Nintendo Switch versions of Remastered, you'll need to purchase Hatty for 1200 Gold in the Insane Store. The Insane Store is unlocked when you beat the game as the character you're playing (it is not on the Xbox 360 version). Assuming you read through this entire comment, you now know how to unlock all the characters in the game! The full character lineup should be this: Green Knight > Red Knight > Blue Knight > Orange Knight > Gray Knight > Barbarian > Thief > Fencer > Killer Beekeeper > Industrialist > Alien > King > Brute > Snakey > Saracen > Royal Guard > Stove Face > Peasant > Bear > Necromancer > Conehead > Civilian > Gray Knight 2 > Fire Demon > Skeleton > Iceskimo > Ninja > Cultist > Pink Knight > Blacksmith > Hatty Hope this comment has been very useful. I have a level 99 Green Knight and a level 87 Industrialist and I have beaten the game on plenty of characters, I almost have all of Insane Mode completed but I was doing Insane Mode a long time ago so I forgot how to juggle. I’m going to have to learn again in order to get that Golden Skull.

For coins you can farm the painter with industrialist or fencer

Hatty can also be obtained by having battle block theater on 360 and transferring Alien can obtained by getting an achievement on alien homie on 360 and transferring as well

If you want Hatty on the PC you could buy battle block theater on the pc and you will have him in castle crasher.

I got to lvl 64 with my Red Knight until I lost all my save data unfortunately. But I’m replaying it and trying to reach my old level (64, 24, 17, etc) with my Res knights and etc characters and beat the game on insane mode

If you want easy coins, grind the barbarian boss.
