Тәжірибелік нұсқаулар және стиль

ABOUT THIS VIDEO:
Something I really wanted to do for a long time was to cast a jewelry design with stones in place. It took me quite a few attempts to get it right and to master the technique. In this video I will show you how it's done.
HIGHLIGHTED TOOLS:
If you are from the EU, check out Herens & Herens. You can register as an Estona student if you do not have a chamber of commerce number. If you do order with them, you will receive a 5% discount on all tools with the code estona5. Link to the casting set: herens.nl/Search/delft%20clay.
If you are from the United States, look up Gesswein. If you order over there, you will receive a 5% discount on almost all of their tools with the code EST21. You can find all tools to go with my online metalsmithing course here: www.estona.nl/wp-content/uplo.... For today's tutorial I want to highlight this product: www.gesswein.com/bananasandpa.... The banana sandpaper rolls really helped out with cleaning up the ring.
FREE VIDEOS:
My channel is packed with free video tutorials, including a complete beginners course. Metalsmithing can be so much fun. The trick is trusting yourself, learning how to fix your mistakes and using the right tools. Interested in getting started yourself? I really appreciate how you show your mistakes in your videos. I’m a beginner metalsmith and I get frustrated with how often I mess up. But seeing a master such as yourself still make mistakes is so assuring that it’s all part of the process of learning the trade!

I coincide with your comments. These are fantastic realistic and inspiring videos. I am also a beginner jeweler, I can say that on every piece that I have made so far I`ve had to fix some mistake. I guess this is how you get better, I even enjoy fixing this beautiful mistakes :)... This is the beauty of making jewelery

I take that as a great compliment Leah, thank you! And I am not by far a master. Just someone who likes to learn and enjoys working with metal. Everyone makes mistakes, that's the best way to learn. And as soon as you don't get overwhelmed by thinking 'I have to get this right straight away' but realize that you can fix your mistakes, the real fun can begin!

Great tutorial Bregje! When you don't succeed, try again...and again...and again! Rarely does a project go without its challenges so being transparent & showing your viewers all aspects of your creative process is both a valuable teaching opportunity for you, learning opportunity for your viewers and shows the countless hours of trial and error involved in the creative process. Your tutorials are pure gold. Thank you for sharing.

Hi Bregje,👋 I was wondering if you have ever tried metal clay jewelry making. I have seen some videos on it and I think it would be a lot easier to do. Since my funds are limited, this is the cheapest way for me to make silver rings and jewelry. Plus, NO SOLDERING!! I hate soldering. I still haven't gotten the hang of it. With using metal clay, it is easy to get your ends together. Once the clay is dry, it can be fired with a hand torch or in a kiln. I am looking forward to reading your reply. Happy Jewelry Making!!😃
