    Brandon Lester what your calling black nose crappie I grew up calling Arkansas Crappie. I was told as a kid they are a hybrid. One thing I’d like to see is the best way to hunt down brush piles not using side scan or any of the newer sonar we have today. For some reason I’ve been having massive trouble locating brush for crappie. I just have the older Lowrance Hook4 the non side scan model. My go to color in the Spring is the Junebug/Chartreuse and Electric Chicken.

    MY go to bait is the Bobby Garland Blue Thunder.. Second is the Garland Patriot. Here in South Alabama I fish the lakes off of the Mobile river and these 2 work everywhere. They also like the mayfly color. I really enjoy your shows keep em coming.

    Always been a big fan of the patriot color. One of my favorites for sure. Crappie magnet makes one called heavy D that’s basically the same color and I catch a lot on it. Thanks for watching!

    I've caught some fish on that color but what's been killer for me is pink phantom and a loop knot. I can't believe what a difference that loop knot makes and pink is just about my go to color in cold water. I haven't tried it it warm water like you're fishing so I can't comment on that but a killer in colder water..thanks for the video.

    What knot are you using to join the leader? I have trouble with the light line.

  • @BrandonLesterFishing

    @BrandonLesterFishing

    9 ай бұрын

    An FG knot is best but difficult to tie. If I’m not rushed for time I’ll tie the FG but on the water I tie a double uni knot. About a 5-6ft leader is plenty.
