I just learned about casting crappies. and boy is it just as addictive as dobbing with jigs in brush piles. great videos. and your excellent fisherman. very versatile and that’s what separates the pros from the rest. 👍
Gotta love Richard Gene The Fishing Machine!
Richard your an great fisherman your like an professionally. Than you for tips you help me out an lot.I caught an hole lot more fish doing your taknints.
I just got back from fishing. I caught two huge bluegill on a squirrel tail jig. Then I told them " get on back in there boy ". Thank you sir from South Alabama
Always entertaining and educational!
It’s cold but it’s a beautiful time to be on the water. Leafs changing, a lot of fishermen are in the woods chasing deer, and it’s too cold for the pleasure boaters.
Richard up here in NC the white crappies in winter get by there selves away from the blacks and the number one spot to target them is around shallow docks on a bank that the wind is blowing to. Three to six feet of water is ideal in 40 s Water temps.
I been crappie fishing for 20 plus years now and I'm still not no where near your level of knowledge. Great videos
You’re the best
Love it
Thanks ,Richard Gene ! You are very generous in giving us all the tips and techniques that are so helpful to us who love fishing but due to other obligations, haven't been able to spend the time on the water needed to learn all the good lessons you have aquired . I look forward to every video you put out for us, my friend ! HAVE A BLESSED THANKSGIVING !!
Richard you should do a weekly Q&A with questions you'd like to talk about from your comment sections!

It is a pleasure to be able to watch you and pick up some of your knowledge about fishing. The only thing better would be able to bring you along with me. Thanks for making your videos and sharing your knowledge.
I continue to learn from your videos, thanks Richard!
Man I really like watching your videos ,I fish every day it is so much fun crappie fishing
If it's raining I stay home,I worked enough in the shit cutting right of ways for power companies and later logging.Once the temps start to stay in the 40's I pack everything away till next year also as the fingers become useless thanks to those years out there in the woods freezing them off in the freezing rain, sleet, and snow. I think the last week of Oct or 1st week of Nov '18 was the last of the "ok" days before I packed everything away for the PA winter.

Man ive learned alot from you & your videos. Most of my biggest fish in general have been in cold weather as well. Thanks for sharing!
Mean Jean I went fishing and I was fish a white plastics shad on 1/8 jig head, 4lb crappies line. The funniest think was happening. I was only catching bass and the other boat were catching crappies with chartreuse color. Your thoughts?
Great video!
Well once again Richard got it done in tough conditions. Thanks. I'm always learning from your videos.

Awesome..best bass and crawpeee fisherman I've seen..( and any other species around) and I've seen a lot..his secrets on the creeks are bar none from experience..I know..and I have fished in Mississippi and Michigan my whole life..I learn so much from his videos..tried to meet him once..saw him and his wife fishing and holard at them.. my wife said they probably thought I was nuts. Love you man ..keep on fishing.
Awesome video!!
Great video
RG, I went fishing Sunday. It was cold, windy, and the water was like chocolate milk. Fished all day and couldn't buy a bite. But had a blast! So glad I launched the boat. And you were right... It was good fer me!

Do you pay much attention to water temp.
Lakes have been flooded around our area. Boat ramps have been closed for almost 2 months. River is 14 feet above it's normal level. Fishing here has just been a thought. Cant wait to hit the water again.
Great video, Richard! I'm going to get some high viz line.
Im in Gadsden, lets go fishin one day!!!
Richard, i have tried just about everything you have said or done and still have not caught even one crappie. I thought i had finally caught one but it turned out to be a Rock Bass. I’m almost ready to just give up. I really don’t know what to do next
Awesome video, just found your channel and I’m hooked 👍
A buddy and I fished the exact same way on G’ville today out of honeycomb. Same color too, but couldn’t get bit...🤷🏼♂️
You make me laugh hard bud... while enjoying the fishing Thank you for these videos.. they've brung more joy than youll know.. and the information is priceless P.s The day of your funeral the fish are going to celebrate lol.. youre one the best fishermen ive ever seen
Hey Richard, another great crappie catching video! I usually don't ask questions because I don't ever expect authors to be able to answer everyone's questions but I'm going to throw one at you for kicks. I've seen you fish a half dozen different ways when fishing for crappie, but what exactly made you fish with your casting method on this video vs. fishing with a slip bobber like in other fall crappie fishing videos? In other words, would you have been as successful fishing in this same video with a bobber vs. casting? Do you just get in moods to fish a certain way, or was there a driving factor for the casting method?
I felt the thump for the first time day slow retrieve on a bobby garland ghost recon
Fishen is a sport Hee Hreeee. Second to NONE. Can't catch em from the couch. Keep up the good work.
Call him the. Crappie Master!
Was on that lake not for from ya today. Not a bad day, but nothing special. The quality was definately there though!!!

Good morning too you too 🤣🤣
Hey you're the man can you please do a cold weather video from the bank
Richard, I fish from the bank. I have a 6'6" light rod with a 25 reel. For max casting distance should I stick with the light rod? or go with an Ultralight with braid line? Thanks for your thoughts.

Richard do you ever use small crank baits for crappie? They called them micro crank baits Love your videos! Look each day for a new one!!
I thought you were sick or something glad your back
well folks he said it go fishing when you can because it's good for you.....love you brother keep hooking them crappies.....they are picking up pretty good here on the creek won't be long and it will be good anywhere you fish on it...we will get together then and catch up a bunch to fry...
Love your videos! I would like to know your fall rates with a 1/32 Bobby Garland jig. I think a show on various fall rates for different weights and jigs would be interesting!
Dang good video ol chap! Thats a really nice reel.you are well equipped...except those freakin plyers. I have several insulated ones but when i need em i always get the pair that aint! Lol. Really enjoyed it! New subscriber by the way. Looking forward to seeing more. Later codsak✌!

I JUST FUCKEN FARTED
What part of the unattended state do you fishing Sr
Richard, Do you ever fish in Roseberry Creek on Guntersville Lake? Would your shallow water fishing work in there? I really enjoy your videos.
What was the water temp Richard
Hi, I'm new to crappie fishing and have never caught one of 30 or more years of fishing. I have never used a light weight reel & rod like your using now. Would I have a better chance with a lighter weight combo? Got all different types of lures for crappies, but that's all. Please help. Thanks in advance.
Hey Richard, I see a bunch of line spools on the shelves in your intro. After you soak those spools and line up do you just toss em on the shelf until you need it again? And do you soak them every time or is once enough?
There's good crappie fishing in Branch Brook park in Newark New Jersey come check it out.And i see yall got some good spots too.
Richard, I will be at Guntersville state Park Thursday ( Thanksgiving) through Sunday if you wanna show some of your bank techniques. I will not have my boat with me, it is currently out of commission. Just let me know.
How cold? In Chicago its thirty degrees.
