Winter tailor fishing on the swan has been great the last two years. My best session on the boat was last August. Was crazy, two tailor on one lure at one stage.

Yeah has been a good few years mate! My theory is that as there havent been the big schools of salmon past few years around perth so that they have been able to grow to a good size too

Looks delicious mate, the tailor have been demolishing my double clutches this year but the berkley kayak net is great one you can just pull lures straight out.

Cracking fish mate. Looks like I just missed ya! As for the net, I had the same one as you, and getting those lures out was murder! I switched to a Shimano wide kayak net. Wider gauge means less tangles. Haven't had a problem since. About 60-70 bucks I think! Well done again mate!

Check the Berkley nets, bigger mesh size. I have one and trebles never tangle in them. Getaway, Anaconda or BCF should have them and come in various length handles

Great stuff mate, loved the cookup! I use a net with much larger gauge netting, much easier to remove trebles from and you avoid losing fish by catching trebles on the outside of the net when landing fish.

You make me jealous bro. Do you think casting a monsoon breaker or an ssm 120 from the shore and that little jetty near the bridge would work or are they too big? I was there chucking a double clutch 95 the other day and I wasn't able to cover as much water as I wanted.

Absolutely mate, i use the monsoon breaker in the swan a lot. Just need a bit heavier rod if going from shore as they are around 30 grams. So a 3-6kg rod would be perfect 🤙

@@DangasTackleTips Thanks again man. That was the issue I was having, I was chucking the double clutch with my bream setup because my bigger setup doesn't really balance well with lures that small. But I had my bigger set up at home wondering if it would work if I took that out to throw those bigger lures around. I could cover that whole area with it.... just wasn't sure if it was overkill or not. I'll probably head out there tomorrow and give it a shot.

Fishing Rossmoyne on Tuesday, heap of birds came through chasing something. Threw in a grub and got smashed by Tailor. In my head I said to myself “what the f@@k are Danga’s Tailor doin here”.
