Hello friends ! A friend gave me these spent cartridge cases , I decided to melt them . I made a big bullet and a beautiful mirror ingot . I cast the bullet in the petrobond sand , and cast the ingot into a new graphite mold .

@@hotmetal85 it worked out. Just curious, what is the sand you're using? is it home made green sand? Just different than the petrobond other casters seem to be using. Have a muller to recondition the sand once it's used?

I made this sand myself , I restore sand by adding bentone oil and alcohol.

A little safhy tipp when using an anglegrinder in one hand and the thing you cut in the other - gloves could safe your fingers ;-) The result looks perfect 👍

@@TheBarretNL : Here's the thing mate... If i were you, i would recast the entire thing since the end product had so many dents. You could try removing more slag by adding purifiers. Obviously the metal was of low quality. Proper venting during pour would help with the final result. I'm sure if a novice like me could see this, the real masters out there would see many improvements. And hopefully the channel's host is busy improving their craft while bums like you get offended on their behalf. Get a life mate 😹
