A few notes: 1) Shadowflame is just preference (because of the HP), the main point is that after you have mythic+AA+cosmic+gargoyles/defensive item , you'd want to go some form of damage item. Ryalis/deathcap/shadowflame all work 2) Ludens isn't on the list because it has no place on this iteration of Cassiopeia. It provides no HP therefore you are too squishy to do damage, AND if you want/need to play the glass cannon approach, I feel like Liandrys makes more sense (again preference) 3) Phase Rush is not considered because Conq allows you to get more damage off in the early game all-ins, PLUS cosmic drive fits the need for MS 4) Ghost CAN work and is a more scaling option, but again I prefer the early kill threat from ignite. We might see more ghost as the TP changes roll around

Luden's with Ingenious Hunter is vastly superior to Liandry's for the glass cannon variant, surely
@Chalseu___
2 жыл бұрын
@@subhanvasanth8292 The repeated Luden's procs + the magic penetration end up outdamaging Liandry's. While completely underused, Luden's was outperforming Liandry's all season long. Not to mention triggering Luden's also gives 15% movement speed to close the gap and kite enemies.
@Biomancer99
2 жыл бұрын
I believe that Luden's is actually a good option against longer range squishier comps where the game is more about poke, and you just need a way to match the enemies poke and/or supplement your q movements speed to allow you to get in range. It's rare that your run into comps like these, but not impossible. I would say Liandry's is the better option 19 times out of 20.
@Biditchoun
2 жыл бұрын
^ Luden with ingenious hunter is vastly superior on Brand compared to Liandry's (two luden procs with one spell rotation), it's very probably the same with cassio and her poison. Also, I was wondering : would you consider taking phase rush so you don't buy cosmic drive / buy it very later ? Because that's what I do usually, and I feel it works retty well.
@Biomancer99
2 жыл бұрын
@@Biditchoun In my opinion it is very matchup dependent if you should go conqueror or phase rush. I always go phase rush into matchups where the enemy's goal is to stay out of your range at all times, and conqueror when they will be engaging on you.
Space takers = op. Anytime you are allowed to "Mike tyson" and still get your dmg off with any glass champ it's always great. Just look at tryn with gore last year where everyone hated on me at the beginning on s10 for it. Turned out to be the best option by end of season. Good vid.

This is insane.2 HOURS of pure details. As a content creator and (small) coach your content inspire me so much. Thanks for your work !
I don't even like Cassio and this amazes me lol. Such fucking depth I love it!
This and your Qiyana guide actually made me find 2 champs that I didn't know I would like! My games in normals (gold elo) have been pretty rough, but somehow even losing completely feels fun and rewarding when practicing these two. I'm not sure yet why that is, but maybe it is because learning them feels so nice and they both kind of clicked for me. Gonna stick it out with them and get ready for next season. You're a beast Curtis

You're doing a great job to the community Curtis, thank you very much
This is awesome. Thank you. I will be rewatching this over and over again!
watching this 6 months later when trying to pick up cassio as recommend by you in the MLA. and just noticing how awesome and great off a guide this is. Such a great guide build from bottom to top to last very very long . I can see this be very useful in 1 to 2 to maybe even 3 years beyond now. Who knows if cassio stays untouched with her kit this video is basically a gold mine for starters. I love the tips on the ability usage. Great video Coach keep up the good work . I appreciate every single hard work from you, very admirable.
very informative video, as somebody picking this champ up for the first time i couldn't have asked for anything better

OMG read my mind, just what I wanted. love Coach Curtis
2hours guide!! insane respect.
OMG best guide ever. Attn: KZread - Please delete all other Cassiopeia guides. I love how you focus on forming a champion identity. I used to play Cass a lot, but I didn't know most of what was in this guide. I especially like the creative picks from the bushes. and how Cass wants to ambush. I have to control my face-first urges. The mid game examples were all great. The Top 5 tips for learning section is truly a topic that is rarely covered in any guide. Thanks for all the time you put into this guide. There are plenty of good coaching videos, but many of them are - "watch me play as I comment". And while those are good, you have to sit there and listen to a a 30 minute game in the hopes that they might think of a valuable comment to make which might make the video worth watching. You, however, summarize, index and create key graphics for all of your key information. It is a pleasure to watch your videos and watched this one all the way through (even though i had to watch half, have lunch then finish the other half).

Appreciate that!
After about a month of playtesting in Preseason and out into the new season, I feel like this video is pretty spot on with how you want to play Cassiopeia. I will say that I ended up opting for Liandry's a lot more than I thought I would, I've been finding success using it with Ghost as a scaling option as opposed to ignite, with more that glass cannon pure damage build, still with an emphasis on lane dominance. I hated using Riftmaker and stopped after 5 games of testing, it felt so awful even if I won, like Liandry's or Everfrost just seem better for Cassiopeia's resource management. While Stoneplate was nice when I built it, I was always super afraid of building it just in case I didn't do enough damage without a void staff/deathcap earlier. As someone who plays mainly Cassiopeia & Orianna, with a learning objective focused mainly on lane dominance and early objective control, I didn't want to muddy it with complicated mid/late macro and wanted to focus on a consistent strategy of setting up front to back fights. Like you said, I experimented and found my ideal way of playing her using this video as a basis in terms of identity. I also cannot stress how much that Q and W usage section helped me, it really felt like a tangible level up.
Jesus Christ. I’ve been looking for something to help me to win more with cassio (I’m a otpcassio), and I was feeling that something was missing in my gameplays, but my friend, you just throw in my face what was wrong! The identity of my Cassio is something I need to comprehend and I need implement the Mike Tyson style in my mind too. A big Thank You Curtis. You just helped me to get out of platinum and step to the diamond. Next year I will get the master.

That's great! It's only been a few weeks since i've returned to the league and this guide is exactly what I need. Cass is just the best girl. I tried to play this early-agression style in season 10 though, and i'm happy it's now viable.
Amazing video! Thanks
God Damn, coach. You really do have the best guides available. Every one of these makes me want to learn a new champ. When's the 4 hour corki guide, please? :D
Ok I just tried one game with your build/interpretation I know it's a small sample size but the champion feels different coming from an Irelia background it feels very comfortable compared to the squishier laundries build. Thanks again Curtis for the amazing work!
Keep the good effort, Coach
Thanks for this amazing guide

Hi Curtis, been loving all your videos lately! This season I decided to swap from botlane to midlane and your videos have helped me out SO much!. I really like playing Akshan and Vex and I saw you playing them (Vex especially) on your opgg quite a bit. Can we count on a guide for either/both of these champs any time soon? Much love!

i’ve started playing her 3 patches ago thanks so much
I play her top lane but this was very helpful even for someone who has been playing since 2009 this will help so many future snake mains
Great content. I was searching for low % ban champ, and played some cassiopeia in the past, and then found this. Very helpful. Edit: before I watched this, I played VS Orianna and mid game I was behind and thought of I wasn't aggressive at all at lvl 1-3 and just got shoved in and even if I dodged some q of her early, once she hit me 3 of them I was scared to trade now. I only watched this guide half, but my other 3 games with cassiopeia went completely different.
Thanks for the guide ❤
Ty so much! You are incredible

Thanks for doing this maan.

Absolutely loved this one! Was such a good video on your thought process on breaking down a champion identity. I would love to know how u came up with mike tysons analogy to cass. It really does help understand the champion massively. Thnx for taking the time to make this. Hi Coach! want to start off saying, this is a great vid, speaks about so many important concepts, both basic and complex to do with micro, champ identity, especially getting into the mindset of funnelling and multidirection, the mike tyson analogy, loved it. Played cass for long time since s4, kinda retired from league now just casual 4fun used to be master and considered cass my 2nd main and so I played a lot with PR as well as conq. I wholeheartedly agree cass is better overall with conq although I will say, especially if I'm playing the micro well, I love PR into the control matchups like ori syn xerath viktor etc that said, especially with TP nerfs, exh ign probably gonna be taken more, I could see a world where conq is just the go to rune...im sadly running it myself almost exclusively which sucks cause PR feels so much more fun. but yeah, especially vs orianna/syndra i really love PR, helps dealing with her when your f is on cd and you can't make that flash play, sometimes allows you to net a kill before cosmic. also good into certain teamcomps where maintaining your range/positioning is so important as opposed to say that 1v2 clip vs graves akshan where yeah, the conq is obviously gonna be so valuable vs champs that you end up mike tyson brute force dps'ing. overall loved this video. it was great to watch because i feel like ive become a bit rusty/autopilot after being away for some time so this was a great watch to brush up and try implement specific things in my games. tbh, im definitely guilty of autopilot insta grounding vs kass fml tyty for so many specific tips that i really should be keeping in mind more often take care boss!
Amazing channel! You made me be passionate again about the game, I'm currently changing from jungle (I reached PII a few seasons ago then dropped the game) to mid laner, mainly thanks to your videos. I'm feeling in love with Cassiopeia right now due to your guide, and I was wondering which champs you (and the community) suggest adding for my champ pool (no more than 5, including Cassio)! I watched your videos about champ pool, but are almost from two years ago so I'm wondering if those examples are still valid, if so which one works best to complement Cassio. Thanks for the very informative content you put out.
how have i not thought of tank cassiopeia before this is genius

Hello Curtis! I really really enjoy your videos and many of your guides helped me A TON to understand game better! Thanks for your the really high effort you put in your content :) I have a Question regarding the defensive Options: Do you think, Demonic Embrace also is a viable Option as a Defensive Item? Thanks, i nadvance! stay safe°!
The Mike Tyson reference. I love this guy
Ty so much for this. Any chance that you could make a Leblanc guide?
Hi Coah , it's nice to see that ur channel is growing , I've actually grown quite fond of cassio since the last season and again as usual this guide helped me alot , but I think I'm a different type of cass player, I like to run exhaust rather than ignite , because let's face it , being low elo or smth like that I Don't think I can rely on my ignite , it never kills, that's why I take flash and exhaust which actually let's me guarantees some nice Kills. I look for early 1v1s basically those types in which we both r level 1 and ik i will win , im usually pretty confident and yes it works! Again loved ur video , pls share ur views on my playstyle of cass?
Pure gold! Nathan Irelia montage when?
Great guide. Do Camille next please!
Good good Coach!!! how's it going? I'm just starting to play Cassio and I wanted to know how the New ROA affects the build, what appreciation does it deserve? greetings and thanks for the guide PS: I look forward to Liss's guide, big hug from Uruguay!!!

thank you man..
trying to reconsider my champ pool cause its really not working this season (p2 65% wr -> 48% gold 2.) so looking back at my old mains to try get back into the groove. rly helpful on relearning cass! ty
If I gained nothin else from this video, I learned to build something other than liandrys. Been loving the everfrost to stoneplate path
Hey Curtis, im a pretty new follower to ur whole community and got to know you through a friend, idk how u decide on what champion guide you make but Id love to see ur take on a Katarina champion guide especially with the tp changes, ur take on what secondary role is best as a kat otp (top/adc). Ive been having a hard time without a premade jungle and also knowing when I can fight, so I usually end up only waiting for teamfight skirmish opportunitys but I feel like I could win a lot more matchups in lane if I knew how to play them out if that makes sense ? I still end up winning a lot games with that cuz ppl still throw their leads away even in dia but I want to become higher than that and play my champ to the limit. Thanks for all ur hard work on improving the league community and to a great new year c:
And we is are do be back with another champ guide, brb 2 hours

I think Cassio is a really fun champ, and I have enjoyed picking her up. You can completely stomp certain champs in the earlygame. Only issue with Cassio I find is that the gamestate can really screw her over, like in your vod against Viktor as a prime example.
