    I think the simplicity of CT-S1 will even be well suited with mini 49-key format - yes, that good old signature style. Any plans to re-introduce it? (Maybe with box-shaped keys instead of springboards?) Anyway, I love the way you carefully chose what to pack into CT-S1 and how. It really looks very well thought out.

    Why don't the LK-S250 and LK-S450 have the pitch bend wheel on them? They seem like upgrades over the CT-S300 / CT-S400 with the lighting and mic input except for the lack of pitch bend wheel. We kind of saw the same thing with the CT-S200, CT-S300, and LK-S250. They're more or less identical...except: The CT-S200 has color options, but no touch sensitivity. The CT-S300 has touch sensitivity and a pitch bend wheel, but no color options or mic input. The LK-250 has touch sensitivity, lighted keys and a mic input, but no color options or pitch bend wheel. It seems like you'd have a real winner if you could get all of these in one model. How about an LK-S450 + pitch bend wheel + a couple color options?

    Mike & Rich I am so excited about these keyboards. I'm a bit worried about dropouts on a 48 polyphony keyboard but somewhere I'm sure I heard one of you saying that isn't a problem with the newer technologies. How has it been addressed? Because I love the idea of a cts400 as my 2nd kbd to my psx3 on a gig (if they ever happen again ) as well as a portable sequencer

  • @casiomusicgear

    @casiomusicgear

    3 жыл бұрын

    Dave, to clarify the CT-S1 has 64 note polyphony, the CT-S400 / LK-S450 have 48 voices. There are intelligent aspects / prioritization to the way polyphony is handled, really shouldn’t be an issue especially as a second keyboard with your Privia.

    Such a pity to have less polyphony on the CT-S400. Would've bought it immediately if it did. Now I have to weigh my options and either give up on more polyphony or give up on all the features that the 400 has and go with the S1. Also kinda making me consider the Roland Go Piano that has even more polyphony and built-in bluetooth.

    Bravo on your innovations! Looks like an amazing keyboard for the price. Curious that this (CT-S1) has 64 note Polyphony, whereas the CT-S400 & LK-S450 have only a 48 note Polyphony. Maybe this will be addressed with the replacements for the CT-X 700, 3000, & 5000? Is the firmware (AiX Sound functions in particular) in these keyboards able to be upgraded? It appears that the CT-S400 is in most ways equal or better than the CT-X700, which is probably on the way out. The missing Jog Wheel is one reason I didn't purchase a CT-X700, and waiting to see the CT-S400.

    @@HubertEtAlice This is another serious oversight, as I like to do a tone change and rhythm variation change at the same time for many songs with one button push. On the CTX3000 & CTX5000 it can be done, so its not impossible.

    @@joeblow593 Hi how are you doing this? To my knowledge the rhythm controller is the same on both keyboards. Maybe I missed something.

    Hi nice stuff. I thought there were no rhythms on this keyboard? So is the VL-1 rhythm from the demo recorded on a backing track? Thanks.

    The only "rhythms" are some of the VL-1 sounds which can be triggered or played from the keyboard.

    I don't understand. finally such a great 5 octave keyboard comes out and there just aren't enough buttons for controlling basic components. Meyb add a nice OLED screen while you're at it so that using the CT-S1 isn't so complicated. Charge another 50 bucks, I personally don't mind. Just do it right. Gotta memorize so much like I'm operating a rocket ship.

    The CT-S1 is most likely meant to be a budget keyboard for people who just want to learn to play the piano and don't need any special features. Consider the CT-S400, which is just $30 extra.

    Once again they don't demo the mic input on the 450. I asked Mr. Martin a while ago to demo the mic input on the CTX-5000 and the big blue 560 and he never got back to me. I don't know how these guys keep their jobs. The mic inputs must be unusable because I never seen any of these guys in this video do a mic demo on any Casio keyboard. Don't these care about more sales? I guess not.
