I did see. These folks must have been strange to leave the change everywhere. I started putting pennies in a 5 gal gug back when I was a teenager (now 74), and filled the jar about 5 years ago. Its all the. Memorial type cents (figure abt 35,000) but I think I'll empty and get the earlier ones to pull out the ones all copper. If 25000 copper, that's $750!. Many of the fast food places are short of pennies now and seem to have some of the older coins in change.

BTW Taco. I bought a $50 storage unit last month. It has a small amount of loose change scattered in purses and totes. maybe about $3. But in one ziplock bag was four plastic tubes that had change already sorted. 1 Quarter, 1 dime, 1 nickel and then pennies. Add another $33 to the coin haul on a $50 unit. There had to be over $40+ in brand new Laundry, dish soap and cleaning products I could use without paying retail. And the little $50 5x5 might have taken 1 hour to clean out. TIME is MONEY too.

I used to save all my pennies in jars because they were too much of a hassle to use. I would then have to insert them into those paper coin rolls and take a big bag of them to the bank to deposit them. I’d have a few dimes and nickels, too, so I had to use separate rolls for those. I’d have to count up everything and write my bank number on each roll. The first time I used a Coinstar machine was a revelation. It does everything I used to do by hand, and I got about $35 in Amazon credit my first time!
