    Sad that outrage over a dead child is called embarassing.The jury system is one of the oldest traditions in America. The jurors did their job, but the lawyers did not. If there is reasonable doubt then it is not right to convict. Casey is GUILTY and the forgotten is her child. Confusing evidence and poor witnesses/experts are also to blame. Casey may be out of jail, but is definitely not free. There is nowhere she can hide from the scrutiny of the people...

    I am outraged at the members of the jury. They only spent 10 hours deliberating. UNBELIEVEABLE.

    @0MirrorGirl The fact that a case is circumstantial does not mean that it is weak. It simply means that jurors must weigh the evidence and take the second step of reaching an independent conclusion. Circumstantial evidence is nothing more than what we live by on a daily basis as a matter of common sense. ie; cookie is missing from the cookie jar.. only you and your child were in the house that day and you didn't eat the cookie... common sense.

    Well all I know is that a little girl is dead and there is no justice and that the worse part is that the only suspects are her family. All signs point to a family member and now it's just a matter of who was with her when she died. I don't care how and when. I kinda wanna know why but I don't care if I don't. But there is a who and I don't care if it's for only 20 years someone deserves to go to jail for the death of this little girl who didn't get to see the wonders of life.

    You can see the next night's interviews now at the On The Record site. The foreman is very clear about why they could not convict on the evidence. Very interesting.

    I agree, it's worse for an innocent person to be convicted. My uncle was scammed by people who wanted money. He tried to help someone and got framed, an spent 5 years in jail. I know that if Casey Anthony is guilty, karma will get her eventually.

    Wow, again gotta say I agree with this. I have said all along I believe she is guilty, but I don't know she is guilty. If the evidence given doesn't prove she is guilty you can't give her a guilty sentence. Everyone is arguing completely on emotion and not straight evidence.

    @dbritton41 Yes, that was definitely strange. Apparently the lawyer forgot the concept of "irresponsibility" as in, "Just because I don't think she's a murderer doesn''t mean I consider her responsible." When one comes down to it, there are few people one should or would trust with one's children, and it's not because the rest are criminals! I would certain agree that having grave doubts about this young woman's level of responsibility is appropriate! I'm done. Over and out.

    rea·son·a·ble/ˈrēz(ə)nəbəl/ Adjective: (of a person) Having sound judgment; fair and sensible. Based on good sense: Their verdict may be "fair" for Casey but it wasn't for Caylee & it certainaly wasn't sensible! They "did their job" as did the prosecution.I feel bad for the prosecution when I see people say they didn't do their job & the jurors did. The prosecution DID do their job.What did the jurors want in order for them to convict? Pictures of Casey murdering Caylee?

    Yup. But then Baez would claim it was George in a wig and a dress and the jury would believe, once again, that they had no choice but to acquit.

    Thank you, Celebiam, for putting this show up (don't have TV). I was glad to hear in more detail how the jury reached its verdict. I am not a part of the "lynch mob" but one of the few who thinks the jury did the only thing they could do. I also do not think Casey is "innocent" but neither can I say that she definitely committed a murder, nor that any murder was committed at all. It would be nice if we could go back in time and change events re the discover of the body, but we can't. Thanks.

    @clubinsky33 You're right, and people seem to think that emotion is enough and that the jury should have convicted, even without facts to back up the decision. Thank you for being another voice of reason in this--there aren't many of us! The jury foreman said he was "stunned" when the prosecution rested, that he assumed that at some point some one would prove something! The pros. seemed to be hoping that CA's bad behavior would be enough to convict her, but the jury were smart, wanted facts.

  • @Hhaze

    @Hhaze

    The jury ruled on emotion. Russ Heukler stated that Casey "seemed like a good mother, so they couldn't think of one reason why she killed her child" then ignored all of the evidence that Caylee's body was in the trunk of Casey's car. Jennifer Ford stated that she ruled that way because of the death penalty. The foreman stated what affected his decision was that he was good at reading body language and Casey's seemed sincere. He more or less convicted George on the same principle. He got a bad vibe and he thought George lied about having an affair. But Casey's lies meant nothing to him. Do you really want to call these people smart?

    @HotTnGirl69 As of this moment per Wikipedia, 4 lawmakers in 4 states(not 18) have begun to draft bills of some sort based on this petition. As I said, that is the 1st step in a long, long process that may never even pass a vote. Such a law would have to be constitutional, enforceable, and very carefully defined. What happens next depends on the state, but it's a slow process with no certain result. Some states require voter referenda, for example. Nothing will happen quickly or for sure.

    Cindy had been a RN for years , nurses have a lot of meds at home from 25 yrs ago , she might very well had cloraphorm in her house with the tape , but I think in my heart the baby was given either alcohol or Xanax to sleep and left in the trunk , I believe it was accidental death but you don't give a child either so that makes it murder in my parental book , I used to have respect for Mason but not anymore, he says bad stuff about the public it takes all or any class he may have had away , time will tell with Casey , if she ever gets comfortable in life again she will screw up again like OJ .

HMMM.. not even her own lawyer would trust her with kids.

    @HotTnGirl69 A mistrial is something that the judge decides DURING a trial, because of some sort of error, or misconduct, or prejudicial testimony that taints the process. There's no mechanism for a post-trial finding of a so-called "mistrial." There are 3 ways for a trial to end: dismisal, verdict, mistrial. This one ended in a verdict, the key word being "ended." By now I should think it is obvious that I am anything but ignorant of the law. Think about why that might be.

    Hey Greta , question on your last statement ... . Since we are a debt based economy with our federal reserve notes (debts to the fed) and we have to borrow money into existence, where do we get the money to pay the spiraling debt? It can’t be paid as it destroys the fractional reserve money supply and therefore must grow and grow until the collapse inevitably occurs. You know this, all of you do, but like good new world order minions you’ll keep lying to people about it rather than telling the truth that real money , gold and silver, is the only honest money. Not selling out your country like all presstitute media minions would cost you everything though.

    @HotTnGirl69 The whole office has been fascinated by the public outcry and the assumptions about what the evidence was and was not. I have permission to be online while I'm working, as many people here are interested. It's been educational to say the least. If you think the attorneys, paralegals, and clerks working in the justice system haven't been paying attention, you're wrong. To see the public go nuts is informational and has people worried about future juries and what they'll do.

    @HotTnGirl69 "All over the world"? First of all, right now it's just an idea, and a petition. Any law would have to be written, then go through the legislature, state by state, and would have no effect outside of the U.S. Educate yourself, please! I would be embarrassed to display this level of ignorance.

    @dbritton41 And my point is that you still have to prove that, for example, there were, in fact, cookies in the cookie jar. In your example, you are relying on one person's word to explain the entire situation. That's a weak case, and a stupid example. A murder case is rarely that simple. I am done with this discussion. I merely wanted to let people know that the whole interview with the jury foreman is now up on Fox News On the Record--all three nights.

  • @0MirrorGirl
    @0MirrorGirl13 жыл бұрын

    @HotTnGirl69 No one is "bringing it into effect." A law takes years to be written and put through the legislature, and it has to be enforceable and sensible. This law is neither, by the way. Right now it's just an idea, there's a petition. That's all there is. And you wrote "all over the world." You're not writing much that is rational.

    @HotTnGirl69 Again, you are speaking in almost complete ignorance. The only ones who could sue her, who have any legal standing in this matter, are her parents. As they know Casey hasn't a dime and helped in her defense, it would be pretty much impossible for them to get a lawyer to represent them, let alone win a lawsuit. And once the trial is over, there is no way to declare a mistrial! You have no knowledge of the law, and clearly have no respect for it. A jury must have both, thankfully.

  • @0MirrorGirl

    @clubinsky33 And they can't seem to distinguish between what the press says and what was presented in court. For example, news readers keep saying "the duct tape was wrapped around her skull." This is not a true statement! But they keep repeating it, and people seem to believe it even when the jurors state that this is not where the tape was, & that the skull fell out of the bag at the scene, etc. It's scary how little the facts matter to these people. Hysteria is more fun, I guess.

    @dbritton41 Well, then, let's just throw out the whole legal process and move straight to your system, where your word, in this case, is all that matters. Let's not ask anyone else if they went into the home without your knowledge, or if anyone saw anyone else in your home. In fact, let's not even bother to establish that there were, in fact, cookies in the cookie jar. Let's just take the word of one person and go straight to conviction. Good plan.

    It needs to be established that there were, in fact, cookies in the cookie jar? What's your point? That Caylee never existed, that she was a collective figment of the public's imagination? Hmm...What you also seem to be saying is that it's possible that someone else came in the house and stole the cookies who you aren't sure were in the cookie jar in the first place. So are you saying "let's ignore the person on trial, can't speculate about them with all the evidence against them that was presented, but it's fine to speculate that someone else stole the cookies with no evidence." Yup, that's how our legal system should work. Let's put everyone else but the person on trial on trial and if worst comes to worst and things look bad for the defendant who had cookie crumbs all over the trunk of her car and a faded wrapper crumpled up beside them, let's just pretend there's no evidence that the crime existed in the first place. " Idiotic circular reasoning.
