I loved it when I was younger but as I got older because my legs got bad I had 2 stick with just driving the truck and didn't get out anymore

Nice truck, - GOOD team running it.

When i 1st started working on a garbage truck you could only empty 1 can or item at a time the packer was a Garwood on an International body and was chain driven

Big kudos to the one lady for keeping these two hard working guys hydrated with water and Gatorade

Is it just me or is this satisfying

I actually miss doing this for a living. My area had those rear pack split trucks(60/40) Garbage on the big side, organics(Food, yard, & pet waste) on the small side. Also have split side loaders for recycling. Everything's manual.

We may of had this exact truck here in KC. They rented two just like it right before fall to handle the extra yardwaste. We've got a butt load of new HOA signing on after the first of the year so I may have to inform my new boss of this company.

Most garbage companies actually pay pretty well and typically offer full benefits too. Not to mention the job security that there will always be refuse and people will always need it to be hauled away. And driving a big truck is fun. And I have known some trash men who have found some really nice stuff that their customers just set out to the curb as junk when in reality it is very nice stuff. I could go on...
