Case 580SK, KDP, welding & hyd pump

In this episode, I fit the security tag to the 'killer dowel pin' that is on all 'B series' Cummins engines. Also, I weld the new cutting edge onto the 4 in 1 bucket and then strip & inspect the main hydraulic pump. Please enjoy.

Hi Pete, That's a real shame. I have been enjoying your videos for a while now, and yeah, you're not at work, this isn't a job, and you are putting a lot of effort in to give most of us a bit of entertainment and view into your hobby and fun activities. I will miss seeing you videos regularly, but will still be happy to see them whenever you want to release one. Take care of yourself, and try not to let the comments get to you too much. Looking forward to your next video, whenever you feel like it.

Pete please dont get upset about what people are putting on here, its always interesting to watch what your upto and i think we can all take away and learn something from your videos. As you know, we are only down the road a bit from you and looking through the comments here only confirms that majority agree with me on how good your videos are and recognise the hard work and effort that you put in to show us these things. All the best, Bruce.

Love your channel Pete. It’s refreshing to see someone using their brain to get things done. I’ve been a mechanic all my life, first on light vehicles, then on HD equip in mines UG and open cut and ended up as a licensed aircraft maintenance engineer working on jet aircraft. I’ve never forgotten my start and it was in the school of common sense..the true art of engineering is knowing how things work and how the clever bastards put it together your short cuts are all based on this knowledge, the naysayers should stick to pruning roses and winging about their neighbours flower gardens. Look for the Perentie (without yellow tourist stickers) next time you in cookers and say gday. Cheers.

Aww Pete , this is sad to hear . I understand fully though . I dont see how anyone figures they have the right to criticize others in their own space. Mate , I enjoy every video you have made , I think I have watched them all. I especially like the one when you found the simple problem with that Hino engine on your generator. I watch 3 or 4 other Aussie channels Pete. All are done like yours , The owners spend time talking and making sure that those on this end know who is talking to us ! Thats great in my opinion, might not make you popular as fast as doing it some other way. You and my other mates have taught me more about machinery in the last couple years than I have ever thought possible. I thank you ! I live in the states and very much will look forward to any content you decide to make in the future ! Scott 🌵

Hi mate. This is another great episode. Please do not let these clowns pull you down. I get them all the time and it only makes you better. They can’t judge a bloke from a short clip nor do they ever show their face or what they can do. You know you’re going well at it when you get these germs are trying to slow you down mate so keep it up. You have a wonderful following and some wonderful supporters out there. Gosh now I really want to know what the workshop hack is lol. Wonder if its something ive done before haha. Pete, I love your videos, so educational and I can tell your just a good all around guy. Heres a couple things Ive learned about youtube: 1. You have to have the thick skin (not saying you dont) for the armchair experts and no matter how perfect you do something, there is just always going to be haters and you just need to ignore them. Heck, you could just forget reading the comments all together if you don't have the time, then you don't have to deal with the bullshit. 2. There is no money in youtube nowadays. There used to be, but about 5 years ago or so youtube sunk the pay significantly for monetized channels. Idk if your goal was to eventually start making good money with this or not, but unfortunately its kinda a loosing endeavor unless your creating content that gets viewed in the 100's of thousands to 1mill plus views (sorta more like viral content or vids that the masses would watch). Unfortunately with niche content, its just hard as hell to get the subscribers. 3. Do what you enjoy and don't let any of us tell you otherwise. If it means the end of youtube for you then, thats okay. I hope you made some friends and enjoyed the journey. I enjoyed getting to know you. 4. I have no clue how you Aussies do all this work in sandals hahaha. Were sissy's up here and wear boots for everything. Cheers man!!

Hi Tyler, thanks for taking the time to write such an inspiring and supportive message. Have you ever taken the worn out grinding / cutting disc out of your 9" and put it in the 5"? This only works if you keep the safety guards on. Otherwise the disc may be too large a diameter and fly apart. But you didn't hear this from me!! Ha ha! Too hot to wear shoe's all the time. More video's to come. Just going to take a break for a bit. Thanks again!! :-)

@@pete-mate3524 Ha Ha yea grinders are dangerous. Used to run my own fab shop. Lots of guys even remove the safety guard which I'm not a fan of but to each his own. If the disk fits, then it fits. Run it. Those disks add up in cost if you use them enough. keyboard commandos prob haven't even picked up a grinder but once or twice if even. Cheers!

Oh dear!! I hope it's all ok for you. The oil in the tranaxle is the TC oil. There are regulating and bypass valves in the TC housing that might be playing up. Maybe first, replace the trans filter and open up the old one to see if there's any metal inside. Good luck!!

@@pete-mate3524 i think probably is some metal beacause the sound is like something metalic, but its stange beacause only do the sound when i use the machine 30 or 40 minutes and i put the shuttle shift in neutral, if i engage F/R the sound stop its stage, well i remember one day i don't know how but i was working and that sound starts i check the trans oil and it was very low, now i have put some oil and the sound still but it sound less noisy, i will replace the trans filter like you said and see if there's any metal, thanks!!
