Not criticizing, but dude, for your own safety, always have the leg in front of you that you are swinging away from, and vice versa, the leg extended behind you that you are cutting towards. Otherwise one of these days you are liable to seriously injure yourself and nobody wants to see a blade brother get cut.

CountOrlok22 ,exactly good way to lose a leg or limb.
Decent review. Thx, mate.
That would be cool if Cas Hanwei Gabe you the freedom to make costume made swords based on the ones you see, like this Banshee sword but with any kind of guard that interests you.
Around second 48, the presenter mentions Thailand's "Dab" and "Krabi". The term "Dab" in Thai refers to this style of bladed weapon, whereas the term "Krabi" refers to a longer sword with the guard all over the hilt, like a saber or rapier. (I should watch the whole clip before adding any more comment.)
I love that sword to bad it’s not made anymore. I wonder why, seems everytime I find something awesome it’s discontinued. Especially in Bowie knives . The ones that are still made are insane price for a sharp piece of steel. Guess it’s time I make my own again. Never did a sword but looking at the guys I see making them I will have no problem. I’m from the old school back when a mechanic actually fixed stuff didn’t just change parts because the computer says so. Lol times have changed.
Love your vids Joe. stay safe and have fun in the amazon. this blade looks pretty cool but looks like it chipped a lot near the handle.
150 USD lol, inflation now in 2020. 199 lowest at sbg store.
This style of sword has been widely used in Medieval Thailand (since Sukhothai Kingdom around the 13th Century) and other Indo-Chinese countries, such as Burma, Cambodia and Laos. According to Thai history, this style of blade is derived from Laos Sword, although present Thai people call it "Thai Sword", which is not historically correct. In battle, a swordsman carried this kind of sword, whose blade should be as long as the length from his elbow to middle finger tip plus the length from his spanning thumb tip to little finger tip, which was shorter than a normal Katana.

Interesting facts. Thanks mate.
wow...I was cringing every time u hit that log. I thought for sure you were gna bend that blade. Im impressed.
Does the blade get a little wider at the end like a machete?...which would differentiate it from a katana. Is there any wood in the saya or handle?

The handle is wood covered in thick leather, and the sheath is wood with metal fittings and covered in a thick (and I do mean thick) coat of impact resistant paint (not entirely sure what kind it is, but it is THICK)
how well does it cut bamboo??
Is this Joe flowers? Works for/with Condor.
2 things, how's she holding up? And why don't you design a dha lwe for condor?
In the video you mentioned it could double as a machete. How do you think the Banshee compares to a latin machete for light brush clearing and that sort of thing?
Be careful, try to always keep your left leg back and the right leg forward when doing an ascending diagonal cut from right to left. Otherwise good cutting angle, well done ! 👍
What did u use to sharpen it?
Leather? I thought my PP wakizashi was the only eastern sword to have that Steel rivets? Rust?
I HAVE ONE OF THESE AND NOW I KNOW I CAN ACTUALLY USE THE CRAP OUT OF IT. THANKS JOE!
Nice Crocs
THIS IS A GAME OF WAR!!!
Nice
hey guys. this sword not for jungle. it use for kill someone. ^ ^
Did you fuc up the baseballs definitly good for cutting but not good enough for hitting a homer or homerun I should say LMFAO.
My thanks to the nice lady for appeasing us dog-lovers :).
your swings are wild and imprecise, you should train more.
I'm pleased to see my blade so durable for owners however it is not designed to cut wood, it is a tactical weapon and serves well at this price
He bashes rather than slices with the blade, ultimate sign of a wannabe.
Most sophomoric and unsafe review ever.
I was thinking about buying this sword until I saw that lock on it. This is a SWORD, not a tactical pocket knife. Come on people, stop putting weird crap like that on historical collectables.
