Awesome! One of my favorite projects is spoon carving. I was inspired by Dick Proeneke from “Alone in the Wilderness” years ago and went straight into the woods, found a piece of downed pine and carved a ladle. Not my best work ever, but I still use it every week.

Hey Justin, I get that! I don't take a 100 percent traditional approach with my work, I like to find a good mix between power tools and hand tools. Some guys just prefer to keep the power tools off!! Thanks for the support...

+Andy Rawls (ar_txwoodcraft) I'm a Cabinet Maker/Joiner and I like it just the way you made the video it was very good. Don't get me wrong I love Bushcraft and carving it all from hand tools but it is nice to mix it up a bit unlike some other channels that are dedicated to one or the other. Keep up the happy medium Dude. Nick.

100% agree I knew that he probably used a cop saw to cut the stock from just after he scooped out the bit for the bowl, but that was done off camera and then bandsaw just ruined the mood.
