eyup Jon Its scrubbed up great, and looks new now, and your right they are the best clamps ever, i have one extra long one that works on the same principle but lighter duty, often wished i had a pair. Oh and the measurement at the beginning, not just for our friends over the pond, i'm imperial old school through and through🤣🤣😉😉👍👍, lovely refurb, see you next time ATB😉😉👍👍 Kev

Excellent cramps, or clamps, I've got 8 or so of them, made in Walsall, Birmingham (West Midlands), Walsall is also famous for wheelbarrows and leather work- saddlery . Nice refurbishment Jon, good for another generation or so 👍, nice colour as well. Thanks for sharing.

That came up lovely Jon. Not even seen one before! I do love KantTwist clamps, they're not cheap but real quality. The price goes up with the size, so mainly use for the smaller 2" type stuff in vice setups etc.

Nice restoration Jon. Even better that they are still being made and made in England. Bit too heavy duty for my workshop. My favourite clamps are my light duty Bessey U clamps. Use them all the time. Cheers Nobby

I can see it now. The Daughter and Grandaughter of the clamp's now deceased former owner enter the expansive barn workshop that is festooned with fairy lights and populated with machines of every shape and size. Cut to a close up of the clamp's ex owners relatives, faces glowing with joyous apprehension and tearful anticipation. Pan to our erstwhile sage craftsman, multiple pairs of spectacles nestling upon his intelligent, knowing brow. The clamp itself lies hidden beneath a silken cloth, awaiting it's rebirth. In a trice it is done. The covering is whisked away, to reveal, like a conjurors trick, the clamp - but back in time, the cares of many careless handlings vanished from it's frame. Hands are raised to mouths, tears are shed. It is just like I remember it, when I was a little girl...he would be so, so proud... Jon on the Repair Shop. much, much better than that Dominic Chimney bloke.

Hi Jon Really good job on the Carver clamp. Having watched your channel for some time now, how tempted we’re you to re-pin the swivel jaw? Bronze bushing maybe? Finally, degreasers strip the oil from your skin just as effectively from the metal. Dermatitis is very unpleasant!
