Jon, a quick note. My spouse of 24 yrs. watched you religiously. You were at the Mocha Monkey, struggling and you were his model teacher. We bought a wheel, shelves and a large kiln. We started throwing pottery but he died several months later of a stroke. He was happiest behind the wheel than I had ever seen him. Only a potter understands the concentration, relaxation and joy of being there, in the moment. For that I thank you. I have moved north with the wheel and clay and all his stuff. I'm going to give it a serious try in the spring thaw. I guess now you're my teacher.

@@wagnermacedo1608 It was really ugly of you to point that out, knowing that the parents of the son who passed might see it, and your snotty comment might hurt them. Why couldn't you let them be happy with their good memory? I'm sure they understood, knowing that he has a job and a family. He probably didn't see the comment, and him not answering had nothing at all to do with the fact that he doesn't care. Very rude of you.

Hello,, just wondering if you ever used sandpaper to sand away any rough edges before the bisque stage….my instructor always said that I needed to do that 🤷‍♀️it also means having to wear a good mask or respirator during the sanding….btw …one instructor acquired a lung disease….don’t know if it was from not wearing a mask during the sanding but she did not eventho she forced her students to…and I did very happily want to wear one…thank you 🎉I hope you respond and please know that I really love and appreciate your beautiful work!❤tc

Go you our local community college and take a pottery course and see if you like it. You could also take a class at a local shop. Try it first before buying everything. Good luck. Clay is the most amazing thing to work with but it takes patience and practice.
