maybe if the wood is so white it would show up better in the workshop rather than outdoors. Though this was a great carving i seen how you did everything just fine. Ive been having a bit of fun myself trying to carve characters and just some other things I imagine up. Thanks for all the great videos and inspiring me to start a new hobby. Always love watching you carve you have a great personality and humour keep it up! cant wait for the next one 😁

What about covering the table with a blue or green tarp for some contrast between the wood and table? When you raised the carving high enough it really stands out against the grass. Been watching for years. Love the channel Doug. Thanks again!

As a relatively new Carver I get stuck for ideas. Thanks for doing what you do. Your videos don't just give me ideas but I just want to watch you doing your stuff. So calming and relaxing to watch and listen. Great to see you at work creating little fellas that start off as a block of wood then ending up a little person who has a name and a personality. Thanks Doug.

Hi Doug, you make terrific videos. Very informative and entertaining. Could you put out another video on sharpening knives? I'm still figuring out how to properly sharpen knives. My knives seem to have more of a fat, rounded edge, where the sharp edge dulls very quickly and the blade crushes the wood fibers instead of slicing through the wood. Can you explain to people how they can get a sharp V shape to their blade? And how they can fix their edge shape from a rounded edge to sharp V edge? Thanks!
