The song at 2:12 is from the pencil box segment from Sesame Street and I've been looking for the full version of it.

I totally remember the Porky Pig Vs. Mr. Pig one, they use to show it very frequently on the channel.

I was a kid back in 1992 and I remember it seemed to me absolutly awesome the chessboard promo ads with the music and the moving cheesboard image with all my Hanna Barbera and Looney toons, favorite cartoons. Wow. The art graphics concept of the original cartoon network was incredible.

Back in 1991 my mother said to me channel 50 has cartoons on but usually it was the pink panther and a black and white cartoon called Bosco. Then one day I seen a commercial saying this is the new Cartoon Network cartoons 24/7-7 days a week 365 day a year all the time every time and we will no longer be playing Bosko sorry, Bosko!

Can’t be. Hard Luck Duck at 1:38 is from 1995.

I'm pretty sure they didn't use these "Checkerboard" idents until around late 1993 to 1994. For most of 1992 to 1993, they use blue idents with the "tappy" Cartoon Network logo and the harmonica.

@@tirkour2604 Na it was good but basic and the beginning of CN. CN city went above and beyond having all the cartoons hanging out and interacting with each other in clever commercials. By that time CN was also dominating with a ton of it's own original shows with both the best of the old and new.

It appears half of these follow the same exact pattern. If anybody could recreate the entire thing (of just one variant of the many), and leave it's .veg file publically open, it could be reborn into, I dunno, a bumper for Games Repainted, I guess.

MYGOD! I'm old. Hell, I still remember the promo that Yogi Bear did + the day it launched. Does anyone remember those contests when we had to send in to the network to enter? I STILL remember the address!!

***** Yeah, I've been trying to find it for years with no luck. I thought it would be on the Turner Music Library CDs, but it isn't. Seems to me this was produced in house by Hatmaker Studios and CN. The long version (from the 1993 promotional tape) is way cool though. I'd love to get it in its entirety without the VO.

Interesting to know I was born just a few months before Cartoon Network.

Some of these aren't from 1992. In the promo at 1:15 you can see a scene from Scooby-Doo and the Dino short from What A Cartoon, which premiered on CN in 1994 and 1995 respectively.

Nada que ver. Esa estrella está más relacionadas con Hanna Barbera. Caricaturas con las que empezó CN (no había aún cartoon cartoons). Rebeca sugar debería tener unos 10 años cuando se emitió eso. Undea no investiga bien y sólo crea desinformación.

Well for correction, those bumpers stopped airing in 1997, when this was replaced by the _Powerhouse_ ones.
