Just came to say I grew up listening to hip hop music but this song was on madden when I was a kid and I thought it was the dopest song and the guitar riff was so dope. But sitting here, at 29 in my apartment I randomly sang “I know it’s never good enough” and came here to this song. I hope all of y’all are doing okay who was listening to this as a teen. I never understood how Cartel wasn't bigger???.. They're music was/is still awesome. Great band!!! I'm 34 now and love singing these songs and old FOB, TBS, NFG dashboard confessional etc. To my daughter. She 3 months old but loves these songs they calm her when she fussy hahaha

I think the reason why Cartel wasn't bigger was due to how there were too many bands at the time to the point where one of them would be in the shadows while the spotlights were on the popular ones that been around for a while. Green Day, Good Charlotte, Blink-182, etc.

I still religously sing the opening lyrics at random times. 2020.

You could say that at any age really and I've come to find a lot of people say that in retrospect. For example I was how old you are now when this came out and I could really say the same thing. Though at this point I'm digging in and working on making it happen for me so I can have a future that when I look back on, I can say I had no regrets about missed opportunities...

One of the greatest pop punk bands ever.

If you think about it, we was the last generation to be able to witness life before online gaming and social media took over. And im forever grateful to be able to witness that. Maybe thats why i go back listening to these songs from then. To be able to feel that again.

Oh thank goodness I remembered this song just now 🥰🥰🥲 This came out when I was a moody teen. And lately, I feel like that often. Except my teenage daughter is a mini me and an added blessing/nightmare. Parenting is so hard sometimes, but this really lifted my spirits. Its like I could sing this to my 14 yr old self and my daughter, keep pushing forward so she can stay proud of us too. I never knew how good life could be, and all the struggles have been worth it. Even if they haven't stopped.

This song literally has like a direct line to my heart as the go-to song I think about when I think about like songs that made me happy as a kid. Madden was like somehow one of the first games that introduced me to good music and 2007 which this one was on had banger after banger on that playlist. This being one of the best.
