This is becoming my favorite show on KZread
I love this shit man!!! Look forward to this every week. Thank you
always the first 60 seconds intro...how bad is it going to get! LOL Good episode as always. God bless yall.
Scott's rant/insight in the last 5 minutes was 🔥🔥🔥 edit 38:30
There’s always some really good laughs along with the great information
I just love how reflective Scott is. Saying the ugly truth out loud, very rare unfortunately
39:00 until the end: These few points of advice are really fantastic! (I’m a 60 year old who made many mistakes) but I all the modest wealth I did accumulate was by doing just as you suggest. I’ll be sending this clip to my children who are in there late 20’s
Is Claire the only adult in the room!
Great opener.
lol, best opening joke yet!
God damn, I love this show!
Worth it for the opening joke alone!
LOL... Scott using the phrase "hair on fire" with a straight face. Very funny.
Great investment advice - Scott

He never had a good investment advice, he is like Jim Cramer
I have a lot of emotion for cleaning products.
Can you please discuss open class action settlements?
Vanguard not allowing bitcoin trading on their platform
Great show
Most important part in this episode 37:00 i
Those little cans of Bloody Mary mix that they use on the plane are pretty good. That's after the Real one I usually have in the terminal first.
No mention of how btc etf affects Ledger which you have an investment in?
Funny and educational
I’m on the League and went to a tier 3 law school and a state university.
33:51 ..how Is that going?: SG: "slow but well" SNIFF SNIFF :)
Coinbase have positioned themselves as the main wholesale supplier of custody and liquidity for the spot crypto ETF industry. Sounds quite moaty.
9:34 let's remember that for a decade we argued seat belts in cars, then children were being decapitated by air bags, there was opposition to unleaded gasoline and catalytic converters. A plane's door plug falling out while on the job is embarrassing, but just because flying is dramatic doesn't make it more dangerous than Ford not recalling explorers when tires were exploding under normal use or caravans were rolling over just turning a roundabout. Just saying, perspective matters. It's a sign of a trader with potential to have a sense of humour about the Boeing stock slump. However, Scott, how could you possibly say the company is well managed? Based on what, exactly? The plants and safety? The culture of punishment for creative thought? The reliance on space contracts despite their massive market share? The scandals? The press? Transparency? Quality assurance? On time order fulfillment? Need I go on?
17:00 I'm on League. It used to be exclusive, until they realized that doesn't work outside 5 cities, and there is more money in broad market appeal. Now it's flooded with people with no standards.
Surely this is the episode to get demonetized the fastest lmao
The secondary market is there because everyone is having their backs scratched and going public has too many requirements. Why would a market where you can sell shares without the oversight of going public being allowed unless it was private? Scott is basically saying let's start a NASDAQ with none of the rules. Until then these markets will be private. The way I would handle this is as follows, allow the SEC and NASDAQ to offer listing a limited number of shares in a more simple way and instead of all the hoop jumping just let the NASDAQ or whoever give the company a score and let the market decide if they want the shares.
60% of my portfolio is dividend ETFs. At least I'll have some passive income regardless of the direction markets go...
I'm here to watch Ed get shocked :)
I've been listening to the prof G show since it first started, but i'm really getting over Scotts constant need to let everyone know how rich he is, with the same stories every week. It seems to be getting worse.
you can't take custody of the crypto you buy through these investment firms ... so it's not apples-to-apples comparison with coinbase
I used to be paralysed by a fear of flying. Took flying lessons and now it's my favourite hobby. Face your fears and you might change your life for the better.
Tinder is €15/€20 a month in Europe, there is less competition. I like the 'definitions' in the show for people who are less deep in the weeds.
Scott, if you feel strongly that Coinbase is AOL and will be a loser, why don't you short it?'
why does Scott ignore the fact that coinbase has 8/11 ETF custodians. Obviously its going to be smaller margins as it's the insto bid. Coinbase arguably has aligned with retail (crypto exchange) and insto (ETF custodian) How on earth does it make them a loser in the space?
Am I the only one that is reminded of the opening scene of Dumb and Dumber?
Scott clearly has existing interest in boeing
Coinbase will be the looser? How can you come to that conclusion? A) ETF's are not bitcoin B) Cryto is not only bitcoin. C) Coinbase is custodian for most of the ETFs. I don't understand why they would be loosing here...

Custody fees are only a fraction of COIN’s trading fees. If you own COIN now you’re hoping that what…BTC ETF holders decide to open up COIN accounts and trade shitcoins, which they have zero interest in? Most people don’t care if they own actual BTC, they just want the capital appreciation, they’re not doomers. Also, BLK will eventually get approval for an ETH etf, too, and thus further drive COIN profits down. BTC going up in price due to ETFization will do almost nothing for COIN.
Scott is only 49?
What a treat on on MLK day
Pivot is full of shrews...shocker.
Boing merged with McDonnell Douglas, they fired engineers and upped executive pay scale, " for the shareholder" = bad quality control,
The difference a plane and a car is the amount of accidents per vehicle. Its much more dramatic to die from a plane crashing and one that has been known to have had production problems. Also. In a plane you are not the pilot… Dont over-gloss that please

Air flight is still 100x safer than driving, so there is no rational reason to be fearful of flying if you are willing to take a car or bus to the airport.
@Ollerismo

@@kyleolson9636 is not about the safety and the statistics of flying but rather boarding a 737 Max that has crashed twice in the span of a year and now faces new production problems.

@@Ollerismo Even if the new reality was 10 of these mishaps happening every year, flying would still be an order of magnitude safer than driving. Once again, no rational person could use any of this news to conclude flying was becoming less safe than driving.
Love the funny dirty jokes. Thanks Claire for vouching to keep the joke. Followed up by insightful info. Thanks Scott.
Scott's a real one
300 people dying in airplane crashes are due to Boeing's carelessness. People dying from GM-produced vehicles are due to each respective individuals' errors. Hardcore fallacy here.
@drchickensalad

It's not a fallacy at all because the argument is about you safely getting to your destination. People don't care if it was some other car's fault vs some company's fault, and honestly not even their own fault; they just want to live, and one system is brittle against errors and the other is resilient.
Scott get Ed to 200k so that he can play distressed credit game
Sorry for the young people... they got screwed... more young people need to run for office.
THAT JOKE....LOLOLOLOLOL😆😆😆😆😆😆😆😆. Edit...the last part of the show is eye opening.
These ETF's are paper bitcoin. It's not real bitcoin that you can take with you anywhere in the world. You're only getting exposure to bitcoin's price movement. I would never steer any of my family and friends towards ETFs versus self custody of bitcoin.
BOEing isn't to blame for bad maintenance. The other jet crash in Japan, where the two planes were given permission to the same runway, wasn't their fault either. What is their fault is these human errors not leading to more deaths. That plane in Japan looked like a hotdog that fell down to the charcoal and everyone got out. How about BOEing gets a bump in their stock when their engineering saves all these lives, despite idiots misusing their product.

Good concept, but it’s not the way markets work.
37:00 that's because the boomers vote and the youth don't. Voting matters and that is why.
The problem with your theory is that you assume everyone will be good at sometging they can get paid for, and thats not true.
The joke to start made it 🤣🤣
that was a wild opener, jesus.
Live like you are poor. We do not know what we do not know.
Think that intro jumped the shark? :)
Okay…. 🙃 😂. @scottgalloway …I can tell you that when I make my Flight reservation….my number one check is what the aircraft is….i absolutely have no problem dying, it doesn’t disturb my mind….but no thank you…not dying up there…and all the question you have in your mind Scott Galloway…it comes to my mind too 🙃 😂 sometimes…and I do not drink alcohol in the air…but Boeing 737 Max…no thank you…too many times to forget the nonsense… 🇫🇷🇺🇸
Ed is the Martin to Scott's Lewis....Yes, I'm that old...
oy vey! huge
The only reason Boeing accident didn't become another tragedy is due to every passenger having the seatbelt because they just took off and climbing
😮
lmao
😂😂😂😂
The intro is one of the ages.
Best way to get extra income is to find Open Class Actions
1st :-)
That opening 💀
Thank you Scott I'm about to bet my and my family's life savings on your suggestions alone, what could go wrong?

Are you insane?
Talk about a hook.. that first joke…
Galloway: “how many people died in general motors cars this past week?” strawman. it doesn’t matter how many died. it matters if they died AS A RESULT OF A MANUFACTURING ISSUE. dying because of drunk driving, or someone running a red light etc etc isn’t the same as your wheels falling off. love you Scott but you’re better than this trash argument.
Scott, your introduction was gross and unnecessary. Bad.

Oh Scott stop talking about how young people are missing out on advantages that boomers had….the majority of young people dont want to save to buy a house or invest, they want to buy expensive cars, fly business class and buy another beige sweater to make it. 20 beige sweater.s. Who new to buy apple and amazon in GFC.
