When you perform music we listened to 1000 times because it was timeless music, and do it this well, we get taken back to our youth. It is felt deeply in our generation. Your talent and effort is greatly appreciated and we pray you just keep delivering these masterpieces! There is no one out there who can do what you are doing. Wow! That was as good as it gets. Beautiful.
I am absolutely crushed learning about Scott King's passing. He is undoubtedly my favorite bassist of all time and fortunately Tim always pulled the bass out clearly and cleanly in his production. Scott's driving bass line laid the foundation but he always filled open opportunities in most songs for beautiful bass runs that were a joy to listen to and watch. Being from my area the "757" as we call it (area code 757) Scott was our closest contact to Foxes and Fossils. This song was published in November but it couldn't apply better for right now. It's going to be tough Foxes and Fossils but "Carry On", you know it is what Scott would have wished. Scott responded to one of my compliments in a prior song by deferring and complimenting Johnny Pike and how he plays music on the drums. I never met Scott but that comment tells a lot about who he was. Man this hurts and I can't even imagine what all of you FNF are feeling. Once again I am crushed.

Think the thing I love most about these guys (and gals!) is that you can tell they do this sorely for the pure joy of doing it! They love making music and harmonizing together and they are stellar at it!! Keep singing guys and we'll keep listening!
Every Covered song some how sounds like an original and while I hate to say it's better than the original what I will say it's like a car with a new paint job...only shinier! Again Thank you for allowing us the pleasure of reliving our youth and feeling alive and fresh again. I'm 78 and have played in bands that supported Jimmy Page (Yardbirds) The Walker Brothers, Gladys Knight and the Pips, and The Temptations. So I know my music and everytime you present something, it's a hit right out of the ball park. Come to Australia, the doors are open.

@@chrisaldrich7770 Beethoven's Fifth Symphony was first performed in 1805. Every orchestra leader's interpretation over the past 217 years is a little different. We're only a half century downstream of CSNY's original here, and while there is some variation due to the voices and equipment and recording techniques used, it's still arguably quite true to the recording on "Déjà Vu". If you'd care to explain how you think it varies markedly, you're welcome to do so.

ThankYou very much, Peter, for your kind words. You know the ins/outs,ups/downs as well as anyone in nthis music business. We are just fortunate to have kind of accidentally fallen up into this F&F Adventure. And if it keeps a steady trot, well, I would love to come to Australia. Its on the Bucket List. ThankYou, Sir.- Darwin Conort
The vocal mixing was exquisite, there’s no other word for it. No one overpowered another, the voices were clear, and the harmonies give me goosebumps. I couldn’t tell for sure if Maggie, Chase, and Sammie were singing much harmony. I suspect they were trying to keep the three part harmony of CSN intact.

One of Foxes & Fossils trademarks is their ability to blend their voices "live". They have a knack for listening to each other and varying their own vocals to blend with the others. This was all 5 voices around 1 mic so the mix wasn't done on a computer, it was done live. To me, it proves how superb their vocals would be in concert setting.

Maybe, maybe not, it's hard to tell. I hope they may get the chance to do a fully live version in front of an audience (and cameras) one day. I suspect they would nail it equally as accurately as they seem to here in this 'studio' version.
Guitar Work was Just Phenomenal!!!! WOW Memories!!!
CSN&Y has always been my favorite band. I have seen them live many times over the years. This band equals the harmonic perfection of CSN&Y. The musicians are outstanding. I would love to see them live! Keep it up!
the harmonies always bring me back to you guys. Just spot on.
Absolutely outstanding. I would not be surprised if you get another email from Graham Nash on this one. Fabulous.

@@JayJoJonny Back on Jan. 8, 2020 F & F posted a Q & A video ( kzread.info/dash/bejne/m2iixs-uerngpJM.html ). The whole thing is great but if you start at around the 13:25 mark Tim talks about who the musical influences he has had in his life. In this conversation he shows a framed picture his wife made of a screen shot of Todd Rundgrens Facebook page where Todd had put a picture and a link to the F & F cover video of his "We Gotta Get You A Woman". Also, right after this Tim shows another framed copy of an email he received from Graham Nash in which Graham was very congratulatory of F & F's cover version of CSN Suite: Judy Blue Eyes. Tim eventually met Graham and got him to sign that email. Pretty cool stuff. Check it out.

@@DaveBarton1 , so cool they are making those connections with legends of classic rock! Thank you for that Dave, much appreciated! I’m happy to say I’ve seen CSN twice in the last decade, Neil Young is in the top tier of my bucket list 🤞
Bravo, everyone in the group doing their thing. The vocals and instruments were just fantastic.
I’m 68. Agree with Les. I remember. Thank you for this choice. We know how hard you work to make these songs perfect. I thought Judy Blues done live was amazing. But with precision and outstanding mixing, together with your unbelievable harmonies and reproduction of instruments that is just as CSN&Y performed it in the studio some 50 years ago. Please don’t stop. We love your work! And girls, this is not your generation’s music. Thanks for the gift of performing it as if it was. You have no idea how deeply you have reached into our lives and hearts. PLEASE DON’T STOP!!! Rick
Great Cover of a Great song. Thanks for posting this!
ABSOLUTELY STUNNING!!!!!!!! Fantastic musicianship on both instrumentals and vocals. This one is MAGIC!!!!!
I've been listening and watching the boys, F&F, Mustangs and the Girls for many years .. they've all paid their dues in their music and performances .. their past few years with studio materials and productions can't be overstated .. just when you think they can't do any better .. here comes another masterpiece better than the last!
I keep coming back to this video. So faithful to the original and y’all nail the harmonies. Wonderful!
1:58 you can just see in their faces how much fun that harmony was. Like skiing fresh powder making a perfect turn.
This evokes lovely memories for an old bloke living in a small village in the middle of England! First visited America in 1970, where I purchased a copy of Déjà Vu and carried it home safely in my suitcase! It made the album feel a little more special than if I’d bought it in the UK. In 1974 I spent some time in North Carolina, from where I drove to Norfolk VA to see CSNY in concert. Happy days!

Extraordinary harmonies. It rivals your classic Suite for Judy Blue Eyes.
I came back to listen to this cover again and I have to say, Nailed It!! Traveled to see these guys live in Norfolk, Virginia on August 27, 1974. Y'all always bring back memories to me. I have NEVER heard a better cover of this song. You guys and gals are all Top Notch.
You harmonies are fabulous in this song.
This is a song that resonates deeply in my fifty something brain. Thank you all, this version is Outstanding.
Darwin just loving that Stills tuning! Great job everyone, now in my top 5 F&F!
You nailed this song. Brought home the gold.
I love hearing this every time I play it! Love the complex harmonies.
AWESOME!!!!! The vocals, harmonies, the lead & rhythm guitars, the organ, and how 'bout them DRUMS! You guys are..... AWESOME musicians/singers, on top of having IMPECCABLE taste in CLASSICAL MUSIC!
OMG, this gave me head to toe chills from the first chorus! THE greatest harmony arrangement ever! Every instrument, every voice contributing to a whole far exceeding the sum of the parts. Musical magic instilling pure joy! *Edit: having rewatched this several times in the last 8 hrs. I'm struck by how much this ensemble is so totally connected and 1 brief gesture, Dar putting his hand on his heart at 2:58 and a look in his eyes as if he'd just gone back 50 years to those days as he first lived them when him and Tim were younger than the girls(ladies now) are today. You can see by everyone's eyes and smiles that this was a true labor of love, sewn together by Tim's 21st century tech, and a lifetime of music experience. BTW, I'm an old Western NY boy of 63 watching this in Thailand. Across the universe! Thank you again!
