Pretty sure solanine (the chemical found in raw and especially green potatoes that makes them extremely toxic to humans and thus you should never consume raw or green potatoes smh - fun fact, eggplants have the same compound and you should salt them for an hour before cooking with them, otherwise they'll taste bitter asf; green tomatoes have a similar compound known as tomatine, and potato plant fruits, which are basically evil purple tomatoes, are so filled with this stuff they can kill a human) is way worse than accidentally eating an armadillo, so the leprosy thing should be the least of Mojang's concerns

The original change to make cookies poisonous to parrots was designed to stop kids from feeding pet parrots actual cookies because they saw it in Minecraft. That's an actual situation that can happen and I didn't have any problem with it at the time. Then Mojang used some very poor excuses in the name of animal safety like not adding sharks as either hostile or friendly or not making dolphins rideable even though no kid is ever going to come across either without some kind of supervision from a parent or an animal trainer. (Not even counting the fact the game already has WOLVES in it that you can walk up to and tame.) Then, of course, they refused to add fireflies because they didn't want frogs to eat them. (Even though they could've just... not eaten them, and most people don't have pet frogs nor do they regularly buy fireflies to feed them.) This change just straight-up doesn't make any sense whatsoever and seems to be deliberately stupid. Can Mojang just give us their official stance on how they want to represent real-life animals in Minecraft and stick to it?

There isn't a good reason, i think it's most likely Microsoft that's pressuring them to create eco-friendly content so that they can point to minecraft in order to show how eco-concious they are or something. Or it's Aagnes that's having a hard time figuring out what she wants to do with Minecraft, i don't think anyone would be quite sure what to do if they were given a leadership role for the most succesfull game in history.

Reminds me of that guy on reddit who campaigned to make carrots poisonous to rabbits Fyi, they aren't. They are just high in sugar in comparison to their size. So it'd be the same as feeding any kind of fruit or vegetable to a small animal. They just can't eat a lot of it but they may enjoy it in small quantities. Worse that can happen is you get a fat rabbit like how people overfeed their cats Hence why most herbivores subsist on grass, hay, or other greens

Yeah. It's normal in Terraria, but in Minecraft, it just looks like it's breaking physics.

The parrot's health integer value was too high so it rolled over into the negatives

quite literally even. if the superstick mines something... its beating the minecraft world. since yes, the world might be infinite, but at some point it stops rendering, making it actually just a very thing but wide blockshape. that floats in a void what happens if one would travel the distance of 1 mc world with all farland variations, out there?

1:00 I think it's because it's a flat world that doesn't have any trial chambers for maps to generate for. Also explains why no other explorer maps (ocean monument and woodland mansion are also missing). If you were to generate/spawn in a shipwreck in a flat world, I wonder what the loot that normally contains a buried treasure map would have instead
